God knows how many fawns that poor doe will go on to raise for the herd. ive never been blessed enough to know property my family could manage a herd at, the public land we hunt isnt consistent either. I would give anything just to spend a day looking at the deer on some property like yours not even hunting them. I started hunting in 2016 and only ever got one little doe, that was a month ago. In that 8 years I've seen one buck which was a spike and that spike also ended up being my dads first buck at the age of 45. stay blessed man, you have a great attitude and some great deer... well besides the one.

Animal Rights Activist, and vegitarian here. I have no problem with deer hunting. Bear, Safari, big game hunting, not so much. But I fully support people who hunt ethically and thoughtfully. We have changed the environment to such a degree that predators, migrations, and other "natural" means of population control are inadequate and ineffective. Hunting is the most ethical means of keeping deer populations healthy and hearty.
