I remember fishing on South Jersey shore, jetties. Night fishing too, caught a 20 lb stripped bass. Alright, it might not have been 20 lb, but it was my biggest fish...

I've been fishing with spinning tackle for nearly 30 years but I'm relatively new to baitcasters, would a 7 ft medium heavy rod be okay for a baitcaster this size.

Bought this in the 2000 when it came out in 2021. Used it many times so cal inshore. Used it for a sunset surf session last night. Rinse it off and it still spins like crazy.

All awesome tips. Personally, 30lb braid & 50lb leader are a bit overkill, but to each their own. Also, bubble boxes are awesome and you can make them last A LOT longer if you keep them in the blister pack they're sold in. Just pop the tube off and put a hole in the plastic, run the tube through the hole and plug it back into the bubbler. There's even a slot in the package already for the clip, and a few videos on how to do this

Awesome reel, thanks for the review am gonna look it up. What's the braided max pound? Thanks happy fishing.

I had this reel but it failed on me twice and after returning it to Piscifun. I noticed they stop selling it on their website. Hopefully the new Nautix will do better justice than the Alloy X one.

I been using this reel for the last 2years and it has held excellent so far. Purchased it as soon as it came out. Once I saw it was sealed. I Mainly use it for pier fishing and it has caught several stripe bass and blue fish. Some togs as well. I think this reel is one the best that has came out of piscifun. Thanks Jason

How’s it kept up after 3 years? I got one as a “budget” musky reel. I say “budget” because apparently musky gear is like three times more expensive than any other freshwater fish. But I bought one of these reels. I’ve got two musky with it this month, I’ve been using it for drum and catfish at night to add to the torture test lol But I love how far it cast as well and the fact that it has 30+ pound of drag. And I want to buy two more for my catfish rods because of the awesome casting distance and a power handle. But it’s only like $50 off from the Shimano Cardiff, or ambassador. I know those will last me a lifetime. The next step up on something like this is 250+ I want to get your opinion on someone who’s owned it for a couple years.

For anyone wanting a clicker the alijos 400 has one. These deff can be used for muskie as well. I'll be using mine for catfish.

terrific vid, Beto! I always use artificial early in morning for snook, but once the sun gets up ( or lots off ppl swimming around), it’s live bait time! It’s almost guaranteed! I actually use tiny pieces of fishbites like someone said. works better than shrimp for me and stays on longer! God bless!
