@@tsansuka207 I can understand this perspective, but we had tons of animals directly on the road or right next to it! But yes I’m sure tourism doesn’t help it.

You should have visited Wilpattu National Park of North West instead of Yala and you could have seen from leopards to bears there. It is also famous for thousands of crocs.

Yala is great! But, in the Dry season in April-May there have been instances of the locals poisoning the water ponds to get meat. And the forest officials haven’t been able to stop it because there’s no fence around the park. Sad state of affairs in Sri Lanka. Our treasures keep dying due to a handful of monsters.
