Im a local, but I live further south, I love this part of the South Island and visit as often as possible...I didn't really appreciate my own country, until I returned from 7 years overseas... Great video, continue enjoying this part of the world...

Yes this is also one of my favorite parts of NZ! It can easily been taken for granted when you live there. Thanks so much for watching!!

Awesome video Joe, and great to see you enjoying the scenery in the South Island Its beautiful at night and Lake Tekapo stunning, if you go further down to Qkueenstown Lake Wanaka is breathtaking. Mountains are monstrous and the colours are phenominal Good on you, you beat most of the people who live here especially the ones in Auckland lol I made sure to see my own country first before I thought to travel overseas.😀😀😀

Thanks so much for watching! Yes NZ is so stunning, but I still have so much more to see. I actually made it to Queenstown but unfortunately didn’t film enough for a video because I was soo busy there haha

If you want good photographs you have to have a camera where you can alter the lens, in which you need to take the infrared filter built into the lens structure; out. (It'll be close to the outside of it all anyway?) You take it out and on time exposure, the sky will open up fabulously. Go ask a person that's into astronomy and I'm sure you will get guidance upon how to do it. (Of course someone on youtube must have done a video on it?) (I realise you've probably left the area and it's not summer now, but edge of winter in NZ now?)

I appreciate the advice! Yes I’m currently only filming on an iPhone but will look to get a better camera soon!
