Why there is a neutral wire behind the main switch connected to neutral bar?
@robvickers7103Ай бұрын
Individual rcbo breakers on every circuit are the way to go. Any fault therefore confined to that circuit and doesn't knock out half your circuits.

Hi Can you please explain the wiring of SPD the main incomer is coming to terminate inside Isolator and after isolator its connected inside SPD If could please explain the SPD wiring used here
@rayc150312 күн бұрын
An Surge protection device basically cushions transiant over voltage. Which can travel back from lightening strikes, solar ev chargers. Then suppresses that high over voltage and then throws it back to ground again. SPD's can prevent sensitive equipment from getting damaged. That said it's pretty much mandatory to have them installed now. Split load consumer units are pretty much obsolete now too. Each of the 2 rcd's shouldn't be in excess of 9 mA of earth leakage. With Rcbo's you can have upto 9 mA on each circuit. I haven't fit a split load board for a long time. I'll only fit full spec rcbo consumer units.

Fair play for getting this done in a day, was this just first fixed? having the mud slinger there on the same day to do the deep fill before doing the top coat after must of helped, but please..... Please..... Tell that lad to get his impact away from the faceplate screws, and the CCU....

I used to live in that house in the 70s when I was a kid. My parents put in the attic room and had it rewired from the old two pin sockets. It was originally a doctors house. Nice to see the inside.

@AndyK.14 жыл бұрын
What he means is if you have a fault which causes an RCD trip, half your circuits will go off. If the fault is permanent they will remain off until you can get an electrician out. If you have RCBOs only the circuit at fault will be off which is less inconvenient
