I was worried by the haunting texts, the wholesome ending is really something :>

This is beautiful, Henry will be one of the most memorable characters in the franchise, and Henry’s forest will always be one of the most amazing and beautiful representations of not only Henry, but the entire community.

I personally think this story would work best in the context of the "two Henrys" theory: After the tempermental Henry 1 was written off and the Black Five Henry 2 replaced him, the crew with the help of Topham managed to persuade Crewe to leave Henry 1 somewhere else instead of being scrapped for the chance that he will be rescued and preserved. Knowing their engine, his crew knew the one place Henry would choose to rest while awaiting his rescue. The forest (Just to clarify, I don't believe in the two Henrys theory nor do I consider it cannon in my own opinion)

WOW!” The boys soon said “there looking for Another engine Maybe that could be you!” the boy suddenly ran off as fast as they could they told there grandfather and now henry is preserved at the national railway museum and Now they all live happily ever after.

As Thomas came back with the final train, he was visited by Douglas, the last remaining steam engine on the mainline. Douglas recounted the story of Oliver, who he helped escape, to Thomas. Thomas thought about the story, and whispered something to his driver. Later that night at 2:00 AM, Percy and Toby where asleep in the sheds. They are woken up by Thomas, fully in steam and with Annie and Clarabel in toe. Soon after they where woken up, Percy and Toby’s crews came out of Annie and went in there engines. “Percy” said Thomas “You go to the quarry and get Mavis” Then Thomas looked at Toby “Toby, get Henrietta” “Thomas, what are you doing?” Asked Toby “First of all, us” said Thomas “Second of all, we are escaping from scrap”

I bet mavis still working the tracks probably are a very shoddy state though she probably only got down to the junction maybe once every other week.

He veered into the siding that he knew led to Henry’s Forest. He had remembered many years ago, before he was saved from being scrapped, Henry had taken Gordon, Edward and James down this line. His soul almost jumped out of his head when he heard a familiar voice say, “Who goes there? Please don’t take me.” Gordon uttered under his breath, “Henry?” He moved forward to get a better look and surely enough, a dirty, rusty, broken but still strong Green Black 5 was standing in front of him. Henry’s eyes lit up with happiness and a single tear rolled down his eye. “Gordon? Gordon! I’ve missed you so much, old pal! How are the others?”, said Henry. “Bill and Ben were sent back to the Port of Par, Toby’s still missing Henrietta, Clarabel was dismantled for parts, Percy was purchased by the National Railway Museum and will leave in the next few months, Mavis was scrapped and so was Stepney, and most recently, some saboteurs purposefully jammed Spencer’s safety valve, blowing up him and Thomas, who was close by. Thomas survived, though with minor burns.”, replied Gordon with tears stinging his eyes. Henry said, “Life’s been peaceful, mostly. Kids come down to listen to my stories. Occasionally, Paxton and surprisingly, Diesel 10, came down here since they felt bad.” Gordon was taken aback by this,”Can you still run?” “No” “Why not?” “My tender has been detached.” Gordon heard the horn of a diesel in the distance, “I’ll come back tomorrow with James and Edward. I’m planning to help get you out and then we can go to the mainland. Bye, Henry!” “Bye Gordon!”, said Henry. Unbeknownst to Henry, this was the start of another new chapter in his life.
