i got the engine a few days ago great deal on the open box no oil or gas been ran through it, but I took the old engine off, have to make a few modifications like engine shaft sleeve riser for engine mount, but my main concern now is the pto clutch, my set up is basically clutch toggle switch on/off, low oil light, ignition choke and throttle then a buss fuse. Any info would help me out thanks, plus it had a safety to where if the machine turns off or is turned off with the clutch on it will not start unless the clutch toggle switch is off

Engine swap completed and now have over 3 hrs of mowing in the books! I decided to use the key/throttle/choke control panel (boy, is that thing tight on the frame) as the throttle lever is easy to reach from the seat. I moved the red wire from the positive side of the original solenoid to the positive post of the solenoid on the 670 and the electric PTO clutch works (as long as I remember to switch the original key to ON) and the battery is getting charged! Thanks again for taking the time to document this swap...it was challenging, for sure, but watching how you did it and the obstacles you encountered made it sooooo much easier!

Great videos (long version and this one)! I've watched your explanation for wiring several times and it's just not sinking in for me. I plan to do the same...leave the Predator key switch box in place. I understand the battery cabling if you were to just install it as a stand alone" i.e no accessories to power, but I'm still fuzzy on how exactly you got the PTO clutch to work. Did you end up still connecting the single red wire from the Predator voltage regulator to the original Grasshopper red wire that ran to the B&S voltage regulator? If so, was that the only change you made to any of the Predator wiring? Seems like you'd have to so power can get to the clutch...maybe it'll sink in when I actually get to that stage of the swap.
