2012 Kubota b2920 - Filters, Fluids, and Maintenance

I have a b2920 and was wondering if it has the strainer for the hydraulics. I am unable to find it on my tractor.

That is a good question. I haven’t heard of this strainer. Not sure where that would be if we had one.

How do you losen the oil filter when it's hard to get of? Is there a tool?

I had a pair of large channel locks that worked for any stuck filters.

You can go to any auto parts store and get an oil filter wrench. They are inexpensive and you won't risk crushing a filter like you might do using channel locks, particularly if the filter is on too tight. Oil filter wrenches aren't made for specific sizes, but there are usually wrenches for smaller/medium-size filters and ones for larger filters. You want the smaller or medium size filter wrench.

@@markjones7417 is it bad to crush a filter? I throw them away anyway. But yeah that is the correct way to do it.
