I'm looking for an Atari 2600 junior or I'll just go to the next city over where there's a video game store that sells modded Atari 2600 systems with the AV mod for $100.

Completely agree! I fell into the trap believing it was perhaps a throwaway device but it was ahead of its time and clearly a great little console today. Glad you kept yours for sure 👍

It's a neat piece but yes, unfortunately fairly limited. The better devices are the Super Game Boy Adapter for SNES or the Game Boy Player for Game Cube 🎮

Battlefront 1 & 2 both also include the DLC too 😊 I wholeheartedly agree though that Ultimate Alliance would be welcomed for backwards compatibility, I too love that game

MK specifically had such a guttural sound, especially the title theme song on Genesis. Plus if you're playing with a stock 3-button pad for fighting games it definitely hurts compared to the SNES layout (though the 6-button SG controller is arguably better for fighters)

@@SvennyMcG SG's music was in the same ballpark or maybe even equal with the SNES, but the character and action audio sounded like an older system. They cut on that in SG's development: maybe they figured that kidds wouldn't notice and maybe that was the only group that they had bargained for and/or maybe they capitalized on the time(slide a console out without all of the kinks being worked out so long as the flaws were not critical enough*). They surely did not account for that and many games it can be heard throughout the game. *I was a pre-teen in those days and--if I didn't own an SNES prior and played it constantly--you could have gotten me. But, since I had, I wasn't fooled(I knew the SNES was better). However, if I had owned a SG first, then the only reference point that I would have is the NES. And, SG definitely beats that as far as potential...

Not the NFC reader, but the Amiibos are certainly compatible with many Nintendo Switch games 👍

You may need to get creative there, perhaps a toothpick with gorilla glue and let it settle

You can find something with a flat end and use super glue, I cut one of those cotton ear cleaners but you could use a fat toothpick, or a couple glued together. Put a tiny drop of glue on the end, stick it in and give it a few minutes to dry. Worked for me after a few tries

Make sure the TV is set to "AV" or "Composite" input so it will display correctly. Plug a cable into the yellow video output on the side of the NES and then look on the TV for a yellow input. Once those are connected turn the NES on and it should display
