Very nice video. I loved it. Denis, these flights from Amsterdam to Dubai or Dubai to Amsterdam are long and take around 7 hours or more in the air nonstop. Do you land to refuel somewhere or does the Boeing 737-800 have the range to fly nonstop from one destination to the other?

Good question! One the way there we can make it due to the tailwind. On the way back we need a fuel stop. Most of the times in BOJ (Burgas) or ATH (Athens)

I don’t know the exact figures. But it depends if you get flight pay or non flight pay. The figures are quite easy findable 😙

En wij in de cabine maar denken dat die piloten de hele tijd met getalletjes, metertjes, knopjes en de radio bezig zijn, maar nee hoor... Beetje ouwehoeren over het huis van een schoonzus, het mooie weer, waar Niels woont, een lekker fris smintje, bootjes op het water en de baan die net anders ligt dan de weilanden... :) Heerlijk om een keer mee te luisteren. Thx!

Het filmpje laat goed zien hoe idioot het is dat na tachtig jaar het punt RIVER nog steeds wordt gebruikt. Het heeft tot gevolg dat vliegtuigen laag en in de lengterichting over dichtbebouwd gebied van Haaglanden worden geleid, terwijl een paar kilometer verder de Noordzee ligt. Al bijna tien jaar geleden zijn er vanuit de sector voorstellen gekomen meer over de Noordzee te naderen, maar zelfs na de uitspraak van de rechter over de geluidsoverlast van Schiphol, weigert de overheid nog steeds deze voorstellen uit te voeren.

Snap je frustratie, maar kan er helaas weinig mee, gezien wij ‘gedwongen’ dit moeten vliegen. Dat verzinnen wij niet, de verkeersleiding inmiddels ook niet meer, maar de overheid/politiek.

Het is mij duidelijk dat piloten de instructies van de verkeersleiding moeten opvolgen. De piloten is niets kwalijk te nemen. Het probleem wordt veroorzaakt door de arrogante organisatie LVNL en het onkundige ministerie van I en W. Ook ILT doet niets met de uitspraak van de rechter.

Maybe ryanair because the plane has a yoke and not a sidestick, dosent say retard when it lands and looks like a 737 (azores airlines only operates a320s and a320neos)
