Just seeing this vid now, good to know there are others besides me who are dying to see this game drop onto NSO. My thing that I ask is why they didn’t just either announce a drop date or shadow drop DK64 the day the ost revamp got announced a couple weeks ago. sure, Nintendo has no involvement, and it’s primarily a passion project of the OG composer, Grant Kirkhope, but Nintendo should have eyes and ears to social media enough to know an opportunity to capitalize on hype that the ost revamp is producing. It simply doesn’t make sense, why they continue to evade and a drop, especially since it seems anniversaries, unless it’s Mario or Zelda, don’t really truly seem to matter to Nintendo all that much.

@@ethacade it simply baffles me on their decision making process, 25 years of DK64, and 30 years of DKC. let’s face facts, this year is a BIG year for DK, and it seems they have little interest in even celebrating any of it. If this were Mario, they’d have been celebrating his anniversary all year long. it’s truly strange that this is how Nintendo treats a big IP that isn’t Mario or Zelda, yet by many metrics is just as important as Mario himself, considering this all started with Donkey Kong in 1981. It’s like they think, oh, slap DK in a movie and give him a park expansion, and that’ll be enough. And true, those are big gestures from those perspectives but it’s not enough, there’s no GAMES or dropping of old and highly desired games like DK64 that Nintendo is really doing. I mean it’s a slap in the face that all we’re getting from that front is DKCR HD, a low effort port of a port.

It's bacause Banjo is in the Game an Rare holds the rights in case of Banjo. And microsoft owns Rare and will not allow nintendo to sell a game with banjo without their permission.

It’s also possible that both reasons are true. They could have taken the time to fix any emulation issues, then decided to wait for the 25th anniversary. I mean, they’ve not exactly been under delivering with the additions in recent months.

Cartridges that are discontinued are normally available for sale several months afterwards. Technos 1 (red 10) was still on sale nearly a year after being the first cart to go legacy. There isnt really much need to panic, especially BEFORE any discontinuation.

Maybe they'll release this on Switch Online the same day Banjo-Tooie comes to Switch Online? Main difference would be that this game would hit the Mature library, while Banjo-Tooie will hit the family-friendly library.

Maybe they're saving it for a Donkey Kong direct in the near future? Then release it on the service along with Donkey Kong 64, the Donkey Kong Land trilogy, Donkey Kong Country for GBC and the Donkey Kong Country trilogy for GBA.

You already have the main sports they need to add more side sports or training modes like the original Wii Sports, Wii Sports Resort they should add like baseball. The game and the sports needs more variety

Yeah agreed I do feel that having Tennis and Badminton is a disappointment when they were both launch titles (six sports at launch) hopefully we will see Nintendo add at least two more sports, hopefully one is baseball and the other is like baseball, hockey or something
