I stand by calling Nintendo Music a fun little extra. While I somewhat understand people thinking one new soundtrack per week is “too slow”, I think it’s worth remembering that this service couldn’t be anymore standalone (you don’t even need a Switch to use it) and is part of a £17/year subscription that also provides other benefits. It’s not trying to be premium. It isn’t Spotify with a price tag to justify.

There’s this really cool Star Fox fan game you’ll probably want to check out called Star Fox Event Horizon. It’s basically a reimaging of the 64 continuity using content from the other reboots. It’s really impressive what the guy was able to make. There’s a crazy amount of content. The creator UndyingNephalim/IceCreamMan got Krystal’s original voice actress to do work for his mod (mod for Freespace Open. This open source game, so it’s 100% free). It’s a lot of fun. Unfortunately, due to engine limitations you can’t really have on foot missions, so Adventures/Assault won’t feel right (he’s also cramming a bunch of stuff from Dinosaur Planet into the Adventures arc, which simply doesn’t work). There’s tank missions, but they’re super janky. A lot of the characters have UGLY faces (they’re well animated/expressive, but they don’t look right). The guy might also be a pedoman. Back in the day me made this cringe RPG Maker Zelda fan game called Time’s Menagerie. It’s a sequel to his Fallen Sage fan game. In it he made nude loli drawings of his kiddy waifu Saria (there weren’t any “details”, but that doesn’t make it any less disturbing. She was a clone who didn’t have any memories and looked YOUNG, so mentally and physically she was a child), he has sus stuff with underaged characters, and there’s this one part where this poor Zora woman has been gone for a few decades and was used by this octopus man against her will to breed an army of Zora Octoroc hybrids. In this Zelda rts he made later on he shipped an ambiguously aged Saria with a much older man, and when he was confronted about it in a livestream he gave the Ken Penders excuse that “it’s a backwards medieval world, and that kind of thing happened then”. Except unlike Ken Penders who left it at that before moving onto another dumpster fire this guy will go ON AND ON about how much better medieval society was from what we have now, and how we should go back to the good old days🤣. In his Gerudo Wars comic with art that looks like Ken Penders attempt at a Zelda manga on the official fan wiki for his Zelda setting it talks about how the Kokiri are “an immortal race of forever children”, and said that Saria (one of the previous mentioned children) is “heavily pregnant”. Insert my boy PPP screaming WOAH BUDDY then going on a righteous rant about sickos🤣🤮

In a Nippon TV interview, Nintendo said that one of the big aims of the app is to get people playing more games by getting them attached to the music. It got me replaying Mario Odyssey, so I can believe it’s probably working on others too.

I don’t think it needs to take on the big guns. But it does work as a solid new branch for the NSO ecosystem.

The remakes were because AD didn't know how to make games on the Switch(and the massive debt they had). SS was the only game in the series that couldn't be played on the 3DS which was why it was put there. In the case of Brothership, I doubt they would end the series if this game doesn't sell considering how late we are in the Switch's life, and the fact that, this is basically the only original Mario RPG on the console(TOK's an Action-Adventure).

Bring back Angry Birds Seasons Please! Make more levels with telebird. Include the episodes like Seasons Greedings. Go green get lucky. Add Hogs and Kisses. Add back Ruby Female Red Bird. Add the new classic design. Add moon cake festival. Add on Fin Ice. Instead of golden eggs, use achievements. Make the music sound more modern. Add different years of both episodes. Improve the graphics.

I’ve never played Fire Emblem games until Awakening showed up because as soon as I was told there was perma death in the older games it felt too scary and heartbreaking as kid but as soon as I was told that Awakening has finally added a casual mode so you can keep your units after they fall from battle which allows me to enjoy the franchise to the fullest, was I disappointed with Byleth? Indeed I was, not because it was over presentative but Sword lords protagonist is all we have, like we don’t have any pure mages without any weapons, no brawlers, no armoured units, no flying units, no cavaliers, no pure axe or pure lance, and no final boss ect. This is pretty much the only thing I didn’t like about Fire Emblem characters in Smash, I’m glad Byleth has a unique moveset but it didn’t take long bfore I moved on for my next main in Ult, I can see the frustration from Smash players but the way they behave themselves is the biggest reason, why Geno, Shante, Dante ect didn’t join Smash, I tried to warn the others but I knew better, did anyone think that Sakurai will grant the most wanted characters by harassing him and sending death threats when unwanted characters showed up? Absolutely NOT! Its not fire emblem that ruined Smash ultimate its the toxic smash community themselves who ruined it for everyone, as far as I can tell, Sakurai was going to secretly put some fans favourite who are the most requested if others would behave themselves but he changed his mind as soon the Smash community behaved like children, if we were going to have a Smash 6 its probably going to be our last chance to get fans favourite, just don’t harass Sakurai or you won’t get what you want. Nintendo won’t put it on there because some of the things in the game could be considered racist and Nintendo doesn’t want to have a bad image. The watermelon for life, the DK RAP! One of the items shoots grapes, the instruments make a jazz ensemble, The Kongs get locked up in the beginning of the game, the characters gestures the way they walk, the way they speak. I love AW, got the reboot mostly for the online. I’ve not played it in a long time. The match up system is awful. If they’ve changed it I’ll head back. If not, meh.

The gameplay, music, voice acting, and graphics was PEAK 90's masterpiece. Don't care what Zoomers or Gen-A kids think or want as moving away from the base mechanics is what ruined star fox because it wasn't the same and gimmicky like your suggestions.

I think you're a little misguided on the 'Star Fox has always been an on-rail shooter" bit there in the video. Of the 8 or so Star Fox games that exist only SF1, SF64, SF64 3D, and Zero can be seen as on-rail shooters (and even then Zero has more levels of all range mode levels than pure Rail-Shooting). The rest are a mixture of things like how Assault is more on foot 3d person shooter, Star Fox 2 and Command are more like flight combat + strategy games, and Adventures is closer to Zelda than it is Star Fox. That being said I do agree Nintendo has to do a big and well-polished take on the Star Fox series going forward.

Starfox Zero was doomed from the start. 1. It was made for the wii u that was under performing 2. Coming out at the end of said low performing console 3. A reimagining of a game that got remake 4 years prior in the same console generation. 4. Not clear if its a reimagining or reboot resulting in the GC fans not interested in it. 5. The graphics not as impressive as something like Star Fox Assault on the game cube 6. Its gameplay built around the wii u gamepad resulting in a game that you either are good right away, halve an hour or just not at all. 7. No online multiplayer 8. The GyroWing 9. The motion controls not being optional Star Fox Zero was a game designed to prove the potential of the wii u gamepad so it would never have been optional. Its also why it hasn't been ported over because of that control scheme. Speaking of, the reason why Starfox didn't show up on the switch is the same reason it didn't show up on the Wii. Because Miyamoto couldn't find a HARDWARE gimmick to try and make a starfox game with. Every starfox had a hardware gimmick. The SNES games demo the FX chip, 64 true 3d, voice acting, analog stick, and the rumbling pack. Adventures is an acception as it wasn't originally a starfox game to begin with so no time for hardware gimmicks. Star Fox Assault was originally ment to demo the TRI FORCE SYSTEM but its arcade version never saw the light of day. Command literally used that touch screen for everything other then firing. 64 3D demoed the 3d, circle pad, and gyro controls. Every game has a hardware gimmick and after StarFox Assault any Star Fox game either lives or dies by it. Its dumb because no other nintendo IP has to do this but miyamoto chooses to do it anyways.

It seems that most people who hate Fire Emblem are older Nintendo fans who never grew up with Fire Emblem. They only knew FE as the series with two anime swordfighters in Melee and Brawl as kids and were already adults when FE first got big with Awakening. They see FE become a bigger series and get more characters in Smash, and it upsets them because something they didn’t grow up with is getting this big push. They also take it out on other JRPG series like Xenoblade and have a disdain towards JRPGs and games with an anime aesthetic in general if they aren’t the biggest franchises. Nintendo’s been getting more the Japanese market over Sony and Microsoft and more games that appeal to them, and it upsets the older Nintendo fans who never grew up with any of these kinds of games, not just FE.

If not an entirely new entry, then definitely at least a 4K remaster of F-Zero GX with all the content from AX and a 30 player online multiplayer.

The one major reason the N64 version of Diddy Kong racing won't make it to NSO is because Taj the Elephant is considered racist by today's measure. It was "fixed" in the DS version, but I don't think that game will ever see the light of day again.

personally, i’ve actually been hoping for ports of WW and TP to skip the switch. it’s a great system and handheld play is a plus no doubt, but i think what we would get would just be a mixed bag. it can’t output higher resolutions than the wii u could (it definitely has more power, but they both max out at 1080p and both WWHD and TPHD were already 1080p on wii u), and though i could see 60fps as a possibility i really don’t think they’re gonna bother with that. it happened with SSHD but that was more to give better precision to the motion controls. i’m predicting that if we don’t just get a full on OoT3D-style remake of one on the next system, we’ll get both on it at some point, and even if it’s just an iterative power boost and it’s just a beefier switch, they’ll at least be able to display at up to 4K, which is at least something they’ll have over the wii u versions.

NSO has some genuine value to it at this point.

They've updated the 3D console Zelda games in order from OoT to SS. If WW gets released again it'll have to wait for the cycle to come back around.

People hate FE? I have...never heard this xD Outside of smash I guess. But as an FE fan, I also kinda hate FE in smash xD And it's _BECAUSE_ I'm an FE fan. It's so disappointing to have such little representation for anything other than sword users. It makes sense to include the main characters, and the main characters almost always use swords, I won't deny either of those points. But it's still super disappointing for me.
