I think the Archetype system would encourage more experimentation if you had the ability to switch between Archetypes on the fly, even to a limited extent. A crazy fun idea would be: you can switch Archetypes at the cost of half a turn, but ONLY to Archetypes that you have inherited skills of. So if I have a Warrior Strohl who unlocks the Seeker archetype and I equip Cyc onto him, he can now also switch to the Seeker. And if on the Seeker he has the skill Diagonal Slash, he can switch back. This could mean creating a kind of rotation of Archetypes that would encourage players to play with their Inherited skills more!

It reminds me of that part in KH2 when goofy 'dies' and u run through 1000 heartless with your allies randomly showing up one at a time. It was pretty sick😊

As a Chinese native, I can safely say that localizing this game is a hell of an effort. Many stuff and thoughts inside are just stripped right from the contemporary Chinese mindset (or at least East Asian). Life in the game is unbelievably real in big cities like Shanghai, Beijing or Shenzhen right now. The English translation team did an awesome job despite the hardships. A truly remarkable and tearful experience.

Sometimes, change isn’t for the better. If it isn’t broken, don’t fix it-a lesson we learned with Dynasty Warriors 9. Now, with Dynasty Warriors Origins, the decision to reduce a diverse roster of over 80 heroes to just one playable character is a major disappointment. As a long time fan who started with Dynasty Warriors 2 and has played every main installment since, this shift completely undermines what made the series special for me. The ability to choose from a massive roster, level up characters to insane strengths, grind challenging objectives for ultimate weapons, and make even the hardest difficulty feel effortless was the heart of the experience. There’s absolutely no justification for not allowing players to customize the Nameless Wanderer in this installment. This character is entirely fictional within the games universe, so the lack of a “create-a-character” option feels like a glaring oversight. Sadly, this will be a hard pass for me. I hope this series can get back to its roots, I just hope it doesn’t take another 7 years to see it.

Pre-ordered and ready to go once i get off from work. Just been playing Kingdom Come Deliverence where in 25h of gametime I killed 11 enemies. This is kinda opposite end of the spectrum. There are still things I wish was diffirent like characters wouldnt look like chinese pop icons and music was more traditional style rather than anime rock. Everything else seems to be exactly what I hoped this series would go for.

Is the balance between story(dialogue) and combat better than in part 1? I stopped playing part 1 because of Sooo mucchh dialogue. I really enjoyed the 2 way combat system but it felt like there was 80% dialogue and only 20% combat in the game..

Wait wait, I was listening to the video and looking at the game and getting my interest piqued but that score was surprising, it seemed at least to me that it was mostly positive commentary, would you mind expressing a bit more on what made that the score? Was it the difficulty curve? The gameplay was lacking? Glitchy? I saw your ‘A Space for the Unbound’ review and after playing it I 100% agreed with the score afterwards, absolutely loved it! So now I’m a bit hesitant to try this one because of this score, I’d love to know a bit more about the weight of the downsides mentioned, if possible! Thank you for sharing your thoughts!

I just finished this game and I haven't played any prior games in the Science Adventure series. There wasn't a single moment where I felt like something was missing due to not playing a prior entry, since it does a good job explaining everything you'd need

Sounds like they went kinda the AC direction where you play as someone that was there but wasn’t in the history books. Pretty cool, if only we could make a custom character.
