The only issue I had with the old system was the RNG factor of weapons. As to get the best possible stats of a weapon. You needed to actively find a weapon with a lower range of stats because once you upgrade it enough, it will end with the best possible stats. Yes. I'm talking about the late bloomer mechanic. Where you pour all of your resources on a weapon with a big number and its never properly explain that thats a bad thing.

My favorite game on the Vita. It’s amazing. The PvP is also surprisingly fun, and I am not someone who ever really likes or plays PvP, but I played a ton of it here. It’s great to see this game again, and I hope to help they make a sequel. I think they missed the mark on the Panopticons in the remaster. One of the things that kept me playing was fighting for my Panopticon, a city close to where I live. They had cities all over the world in the original. I tho k that was an important part of the community and excitement. They did away with that for the remaster, and made then Japanese prefectures, which all of the rest of the world had no connection to. I think k that’s a shame.

Yea playing for 45 min to an hour for some of the later missions on Vita was insane lol it’s a lot more comfortable in this setting. I think the tweaks to weapons helps too

They do different things really well. SS/Delta has an incredible atmosphere and building, while FW has great non-lore world-building and moment-to-moment gameplay.

Huge fan of this game! I remember getting so absorbed into it on my Vita, hell I still have it installed on it. I'll pick this up day one and probably do a playthrough on my channel (self plug). If you guys haven't played it, definetely give it a try. Its much better than the God Eater series and it will make the wait for MH Wilds a bit easier.

Love my vita. It's mostly an emulation device now. But so many games were amazing. Freedom Wars was definitely an amazing Monster Hunter style game since we never got a real entry for vita

So far as Ive seen the remaster not only has a cleaner look but it also fixed some of the more irritating parts like with weapon development (random skills and calculating damage when crafting). Then there is the new hard mode that really makes you suffer. And lets be honest, if you have a switch/PlayStation/pc its worth getting this game to let the devs know we still want the sequel they teased with the ending of the game.

Buying day one. Very underrated game and finally out of the vita's clutches. Really hope this means for a sequel as the game ended in a cliffhanger. 1440p60 and on m&k or regular controller will be great.

It's weird, I've never super loved the game, but don't have anything I dislike about it. It's just a solid time start to finish, I just found myself beating it start to finish over and over like 9 times and wanted more, I say what I say cus I tend to burn out on the monster hunting sort of genre. This games just a gem in a weird way to me. Here's hoping they added Fists and Pistols finally too

I wouldn’t be surprised if Bandai does what several other publishers have been doing lately and make a deal with LRG’s to produce a physical release+special edition. At this point, As much as I like buying physical games, I despise the practices of LRG’s and their sometimes blatant incompetence so i’ll either wait for the game to go on sale since it is a Bandai namco game…or pick it up immediately after release. 🤷‍♂️

I remember most people absolutely hating this game on the Vita. Bad AI, human enemies doing as much damage as the mechs, unavailable weapons, and the game never quite being finished really turned a decent chunk of people off. I was planning on holding off on buying this because I want to see if most of the basic issues were getting fixed.

Freedom Wars vet here, if you don't feel like mashing buttons to take out the Abductor's parts one by one, invest in a rocket launcher (or was it a bazooka?) the moment it becomes available for you. Add abilities that make it easier to damage Abductor parts and start blasting at the desired body parts that you want to destroy to get what you want. My fingers still remember how much it hurts mashing them buttons... Personally, I'm not gonna buy this since I already have the OG PS Vita game. I have ZERO TOLERANCE for game companies that fear LOUDMOUTH ACTIVISTS than PAYING CUSTOMERS.
