I just completed a very similar build on my 7.3 power stroke. I’m actually in the process of putting the motor back in the truck. Very fun stuff. I was just going to let you know that I also got the Dorman manifolds. I had zero issue getting them from O’Reilly. I ordered them and had them next day. Best of luck on this build! It’s looking very nice.

You should look at getting the 1500lb daytona engine stand from harbor freight, makes engine builds and teardowns super easy

@ you honestly might be a little higher than 450 with that. I’m making 470 with 205/80 and a Kc stage 2. I also have an adrenaline HOPOP but that’s not completely necessary

@ you prefer south bend over Valair? Ik old south bends were good but there qc been down last half a decade could’ve just been the ones I got tho never had an issue with a Valair. Hope all goes well!

When I’ve taken the engine fan off of my 7.3 I use an air hammer with a clutch fan wrench attachment, don’t know if you’ve ever heard of that but man it makes it so easy.

You won't be able to access the front passenger side from the back like that, and if you break both front bolts like I did, you will be pulling the lights and cutting access holes to get to them. If you are not a skilled mechanic, don't ever attempt to try this

Should the slender have any play? I just installed a clutch and it is hard for it to go into first gear and reverse the fender that’s in the truck right now is semi new but when you press the clutch it moves back-and-forth

Sure the square body obs are nice but in my opinion there just isn't a better super duty than a '99-'03 with an 8 inch lift! Yours is looking great!
