Excellent video, wish I had watched it earlier. Made a bit of a mess trying to do this with a jigsaw.

Technically a long subfence or a block to skew a workpiece is a jig. google definition #2 anything that holds a workpiece or guides a tool. The long straight subfence is essential so workpiece shim block assembly is registered against a fence throughout the cutting process

This was my assumption but nice to see confirmation. Poly finish on my walking sticks seems softer than other finishes and wasn't sure if it would sort of tear off with sandpaper.

Hello. Informative video, thanks. If you measure from bearing centers of the wheel, and add circumfrence, how close does this come to your actual measurement? Z = bearing center to center. So: (2 × pi × r) + (2 × Z).
@rpuxaАй бұрын
I've measured my blade to be 80" long according to the video, by laying it down and walking it by the ruler. Next, I've tried your method (2 × pi × 6.25") + (2 × 20.25") = 79.77". I believe my sloppy measurement has resulted in that small error to the true dimension.

If it's for a table saw or circular saw you can technically leave the blade on, as long as it is resting flat.
