I really like this new Denver team, i think RW and Saric is great choice. Russ can push to rim every play, and saric is great for 2nd unit for Jokic.... will be interesting season

I think Russ can fit into Denver's game very well and contribute to the team. Jokić will not have to play 40 minutes, and will be able to rest a bit and be fresher at the finish of the game.

He’s always been a sniper, he’s shown it when he was playing for OKC, he just wasn’t getting enough or consistent playing time. Lindy Waters and Isiah Joe were always OKC’s best 3 point shooters of ball but Isaiah Joe was getting way more playing time. If the Warriors give him enough playing time and play him correctly and consistently he will become even more of a dangerous shooter, he’s also an underrated defensive player. He improved his defence significantly over the last couple of years at OKC and he’s always been really good playing of ball getting into open shooting positions. GSW scouts did a great job getting him, he fits in perfectly with GSW’s play style

One can learn, if it is really a necessity. Jason Kidd was a bad 3 point shooter in hus Early years, but he got a shooting coach and mastered his techique. Russ can do that too, specially when he is playing with the most intteligent player in the world. And I know that Westbrook is Hungry to win a ring.

@aranthaman I'm with you. Not many people seem to be on our bandwagon yet. I predicted with Draymond Green keeping his head screwed on straight and his hands to himself, Wiggins I think can concentrate on basketball after what he's gone through with family issues should be improved over last year, and unless we have a lot of injuries I said we should win 50 or 51 games. I'll take your 52 wins. I don't think the whole Western conference can be improved so we should be able to at least get 5th or 6th place to avoid the play-in.

I don't think Westbrook's greatest contribution will be his scoring. You can't expect a seventeen year veteran to significantly upgrade parts of his game. You have to play to his existing strengths, and find the right place for him. One version of him can play as a starter, say if Murray is injured, but a much more valuable version of him is to be a playmaker for the second unit. Single digit scoring per game and not many attempts, but lots of minutes, lots of assists, lots of rebounds, strong defense etc.

Jason Kidd learned different techniques in his later years, and became a much better 3 point shooter. I guess Westbrook can learn a lot from Jokic

One more thing... What does the fact that BOS took 36 3s in the 1st half mean? Well... it means that POA and perimeter defense was GHASTLY. Now. We know and we've seen that CB was playing well and trying his hardest. So... WHERE was the GAP? WHO was slacking off on the perimeter? WHO!? Who's the "other guard" in Nuggets 1st string? We can dance around this till the cows come home, or until Jokic loses another year of his prime... And we can try to hide/excuse/justify the MAIN and OBVIOUS CULPRIT forever. We can do that. OR... we can stop lying and POINT THE FINGER AT THE PROBLEM and try to force this shi*hole organization to finally TRADE that FAT, ENTITLED, ARROGANT, FREELOADING AND UTTERLY INCAPABLE Canadian princess.

You are boring and exhausting with your endless verbal diarrhea. We get it, you don't like Murray, neither do most of us, but your constant b!tching is counterproductive. Also, how many of those 3s did Boston make? So maybe that has to do with the defense as well.

Hands down - Russ is a BIG upgrade to Reggie Jackson. (that's the role he's replacing, that's the guy he's replacing). I always liked Russ - and I hope athleticism is still there and that he'll just USE his experience and maturity to rein in his TOs and improve shot selection. I'm very optimistic about Russ. Great guy, great player, been around, leader, motor... Ready to get that ring. BUT... Nuggets are still SHORT Bruce Brown and KCP... And I don't think that even Russ's great season can close that gap. Cheap Nuggets owners, incompetent FO and an idiot-puppet GM f*d Jokic and the 2nd year of his prime.
@AbcDino843
@AbcDino843 13 сағат бұрын
I don't think KCP matters that much. His contribution was not that amazing and I can't think of a game last season when he made a key difference. Overall, they play different positions, but I think Saric is a bigger upgrade than KCP is a loss. He even has better season stats as a nonstarter than KCP as a starter, and significantly better stats for those nine games when he was a starter. More importantly, Saric can relieve Jokic, Gordon and MPJ, he's smart and knows how to play any of those positions, and in the long run, that relief will make a bigger impact than anything else. Also, having Westbrook, to prevent Murray from attempting, and failing miserably, as a playmaker will be huge. All in all, much better bench this year, with a lot more rotational flexibility. Even if Murray doesn't do better than last year, in which case they should aim to trade him the following year, if they can find someone stupid enough to take him, they have a better chance getting to the finals this year than last.
@CaneOdPchinje
@CaneOdPchinje 12 сағат бұрын
@@AbcDino843 Well... I agree with (almost) everything you said. Thing is - KCP as a starter was a 5th option. Saric, as a bench guy, was a 2nd option. So, their stats are skewed. KCP's value was not just in being the 5th, reliable shooting option - but equally in his smart defense, experience - and confidence he instilled in others. That's a GAPING hole. And since BB (equally, if not more, important) hole was not closed - Nuggets are substantially worse than in 22-23, and observably worse than in 23-24. I hope CB, somehow, EXPLODES this year. I hope RW and DS turn Nuggets 2nd unit from a turd to a respectable unit... I hope. And if all of a sudden - Watson and Strawther become REAL PO level NBA players... Well... there might be a slim opening. But, that's a lot of "ifs". I have no hope left for Murray. I might be wrong, but I don't think that person will EVER grow up and figure it out. He's going in the opposite direction.

I think the 13 pts per game is about right. I think you also nailed the rebs(5) and assists(7) Your projection is based on 24-25 mins per night and i think this is very likely. That would be fantastic but i am hoping for slightly more mins per game on avg. I would like to see Russ up there with the starters, around 28-32 mins per game, which is 7-8 mins per qtr. I don't think he'll get that many but that's my hope... I think a lot depends on what the team is getting from Christian Braun's 28-32 mins. I don't believe Braun will give the team enough offensive production to justify 28-32 mins per game but i could be wrong. I see him more as a 18-24 min per game player. If Coach Malone gives Russ the 28-32 mins, i think it's very possible he will get to 16/8/8, which would really make The Nuggets offense one of the best i think. Let's see what happens! Very exciting!
