Nice video brother. The layout on this Bible is awesome. I got the wide margin one but sadly it was printed in our great India. The build quality of the Bible is so cheap I can't even describe it. The paper binding reinforcement looked as if someone used scissors and cut it. The guiding came off the moment I took it out of the box and was sticking to my fingers and all over the place. The paper quality... It looks as if they used some cheap paper that is used in cheap office scribble pads. I get scared to write anything in it looking at the quality. Soon I'll get the original sovereign one in genuine leather and I hope it's good.

How is it 7yrs? From 2006 to 2021 it should be 15 yrs. Thanks anyway coz I'm afraid of the claims that it falls apart so easily coz I have bought one. If its so non durable than imitation leather, why would it be so expensive? Maybe it needs some oil such as even our natural oil from hands to be healthy

@@joesbibles5636 thanks, from some videos i really got afraid about durability of bonded leather as they claimed to suggest its worse than hardback and imitation leather (this same is stated by search results on perplexity ai); but some other videos like this have assured that its indeed very durable. and i think those who destroy them have some rough using people. The benefit of bonded leather therefore should not be undermined bec it gives the feeling of leather to the hand. I have ordered bonded leather NIV study bible.

At length the Good God looked down from Heaven, and saw the miseries which man suffered through the Creator. And He took compassion on them, and sent them down His Son to deliver them, saying: "Go down, take on Thee the form of a servant, and make Thyself like the sons of the Law. Heal their wounds, give sight to their blind, bring their dead to life, perform without reward the greatest miracles of healing; then will the God of the Law be jealous and instigate his servants to crucify thee. Then go down to Hell, which will open her mouth to receive Thee, supposing Thee to be one of the dead. Then liberate the captives Thou shalt find there, and bring them up to Me." And thus the souls were freed from Hell and carried up to the Father. Whereupon the God of the Law was enraged, and rent his clothes and tore the curtain of his palace, and darkened the sun and veiled the world in darkness. Then the Christ descended a second time, but now in the glory of His divinity, to plead with the God of the Law. And the God of the Law was compelled to acknowledge that he had done wrong in thinking that there was no higher power than himself. And the Christ said unto him: "I have a controversy with thee, but I will take no other judge between us but thy own law. Is it not written in thy law that whoso killeth another shall himself be killed; that whoso sheddeth innocent blood shall have his own blood shed? Let me, then, kill thee and shed thy blood, for I am innocent and thou hast shed My blood." And then He went on to recount the benefits He had bestowed on the children of the Creator, and how He had in return been crucified; and the God of the Law could find no defence, and confessed and said: "I was ignorant; I thought Thee but a man, and did not know Thee to be a god; take the revenge that is Thy due." And the Christ thereupon left him, and betook himself to Paul, and revealed the path of truth.

I’d never let a steel ruler near my bibles. It could tear pages or scratch the goatskin/leather. Instead, I use a clear, flexible plastic 6” ruler. It bends to the curve of the book gutter and the clarity makes it easier to place between text to underline. It’s also decent, cheap bookmark, too.

Wow, this is just what I needed. I’ve been stalled, feels like I wandering in a world that has lost its humanity and want to get back to my devotional routine. I used the Hobonichi Cousin since 2017 and didn’t like the weekly section. The planner is not cost efficient if you don’t use at least the 3 main functional planners so just this year I switched over to the Sterling Ink N1H (horizontal weekly) Common Planner to use as my everyday planner/wallet. I use the monthly for work and appointments and the horizontal weekly pages for work and scripture writing. Please do more scripture study videos. Thank you!!

What are your thoughts on the NET Bible and the NLT Bible? I too am a pastor and chaplain.
@joesbibles56366 күн бұрын
@timstevenson9585 I don't use the NET or the NLT regularly but I refer to those translations regularly for sermon prep. The NLT is the translation I used for my first read-through of the Bible. I am reading the NET here and there and I like what I've read. I don't think it'll be a primary translation for me only because I love the ESV. Those are my thoughts. Thanks for the question.
@timstevenson95856 күн бұрын
@@joesbibles5636 Is there anything specifically regarding the NET Bible that you believe prevent most people from not preferring it as a main preaching or every day main Bible? I hear many pastors and scholars avoid the NET due to the translation itself but they never explain specifics. I have compared it with multiple other solid transition and many of them are word for word along side the NET.
