I have the older edition of this Bible, 2017 text rebound by Chips Bibles. It is so good. I like the CSB single column layout. You hit the nail on the head with the mention of letting and bold verse numbers.

The cover on this Bible is superb, in my humble opinion almost comparable to a more premium offering. The size of the Bible and layout are also great. The let down for me is the paper & font, however for the price it's worth it. Thanks for the review 🙂

Great Review! Holman makes a compact version of this in their synthetic leather and a Single Column Wide Margin in many different versions from synthetic leather to their Handcrafted collection. The pagination is the same on all of them. This one is probably my favorite CSB I own. (I own quite a few). It is my take to church Bible. Our Church uses CSB as it’s primary translation. I look forward to hearing your opinions as you read through the CSB.

I'd rate the CSB like this: * Accuracy: 9/10 * Clarity: 9/10 * Naturalness: 9/10 * Elegance: 5/10 * Reading level: 7th grade For comparison, I'd rate the ESV like this: * Accuracy: 9/10 * Clarity: 7/10 * Naturalness: 5/10 * Elegance: 8/10 * Reading level: 10th grade Finally, the NIV (2011): * Accuracy: 8/10 * Clarity: 9/10 * Naturalness: 8/10 * Elegance: 6/10 * Reading level: 7th grade One more thing. Like most modern English translations, the CSB is largely based on the critical text for the NT. That said, I think the CSB might have a certain appeal to those who favor the majority text (KJV, NKJV) because the CSB's footnotes often include the majority text reading, more so than any other modern English translation, at least as far as I'm aware. I presume this is in part a nod to Arthur Farstad who initiated the CSB translation. Farstad was the former general editor for the NKJV and argued for the majority text but he passed away before the CSB was complete.

@@philtheo thanks I use the ESV, NIV, GNT, and NKJV. I have been using these 4 translations for many years. I am not very familiar with the CSB. I will have to see it I can run down a used copy.
