Ann Miller was famous for being able to dance intricate steps on stairs and platforms of differing heights, which she does here as though it was no big deal.

The child singer/tapdancer in the end: is it a girl or a boy? Costume like a girl, but voice and body could be a boy. Does anybody know?

This was Jack Imel, one of the Super talents of the LW show. Amazing dancer, Singer, Played Marimba (as well as percussion) like a champ - An associate producer of the show, and then a producer. And when the group traveled, served as road manager and made sure that every costume got unpacked and to the right person, including the Big Guy. Quite a guy.

Choreographed by Nick Castle, Eugene Loring and Jack Cole, all contenders; but the score is unmemorable and the director is a hack, Sylvan Simon. The routine is interrupted by dialog to make plot points, and Ann is short-changed by b&w, which was passe by 1946. She must have been more thrilled by the call from MGM than by Brazil. In fact Keenan Wynn, Simon and Loring were all on loan from Metro, which shows what a difference Freed, Pasternak or Cummings could have made if they had been in charge.

@@SatelliteGalaxy Ann Miller is in YOU CAN'T TAKE IT WITH YOU (1938), she plays "Essie". This is from TARNISHED ANGEL, made the same year. I recognize Sally Eilers at :33, and that is the only film they made together.
