Stupid movie. Nothing in it makes sense. Soundtrack is good, but that's it.

I read somewhere that Christopher Lee had actually been considered to play 007, but at 6'5", he'd be a bit too conspicuous to play a secret agent. Besides, he was very busy during this era. This very movie had to compete with a couple other Christopher Lee films for the box office dollars, including 'The Wicker Man' and 'The Three Musketeers'.

Min 6:40 the music is not "technically" from the Swan Lake Ballet. It is literally from the SW ballet. Semantics aside, good list choice.

Definitely one of my favourites, due to the depiction of the original Britain’s and some of the depictions of their behaviours and techniques that were gleaned from writers/sources of that time. I also think that the Saxon leader is probably one of my favourite movie villains ever, so well played. And great one liners. The depictions of the Romans too I loved, arrogant pricks haha. But the main cast are excellent and it genuinely seems like they are mates, which I think comes across as their depictions of the band of brothers. I like the idea of the alternate endings too. Oh and the Merlin portrayal is perfect for me. Cheers from Australia

In my opinion, the first Lethal Weapon movie is a little bit more superior than the rest of the franchise (and more of a Christmas film than Die Hard). Like it's an action movie with layered characters we can grow with, a serious detective vibe and the humor is more of a pinch of salt to season an already good story and give the movie some levity. Whereas in the sequels, the action takes a backseat and they try too hard to be weird comedies. I never liked LW4 because I thought it was mostly dull with a cringy ending. I’d also recommend The Last Boy Scout if you like Lethal Weapon.

I would also add that this film actually takes its time to build suspense, something previous installments were not very good at. There were moments here where you almost felt they were borrowing from Hitchcock. It's a shame they didn't do a better job at that. But I have to say I find this film to be the most suspenseful in the Hammer series about Dracula.
@zmajodnocaja50882 жыл бұрын
There is something satisfying in the way Dracula dies in Hammer films. He is almost defeated by Murphy's Law, rather than the protagonist. As if the game is set so that he will always be resurrected, but will also inevitably die through some cosmic conspiracy whereby a lightning will strike him if nothing else does. He is actually quite vulnerable. It reminds me of a DOS game from the 1990s, called 'Night Hunter', where you play as Dracula, and you realise just how vulnerable you are despite your powers. Eventually you will die and turn into a pile of ashes. There is something oddly satisfying about the ease with which Dracula is dispatched in Hammer films.

This is a spy thriller with Dracula thrown in just for fun. A Dracula film really needs to be all about him. Also, Dracula looks dumb and impotent. He does nothing to stop Van Helsing in the end. He does start chasing him after his plan has been foiled, only to run into bushes and basically end his own life. It's close to him stepping on a banana peel and impaling himself by accident on a picket fence or something.

The 2004 King Arthur movie is one of my all time favorite movies! I went to see it when it came out and have watched it dozens of times through on DVD without ever getting bored with it! Hans Zimmer's score for this movie was just stunning!! I have always been a big movie soundtrack buff and have listened to probably hundreds of movie soundtracks in my life. But it would be hard for me to not consider the soundtrack to this movie to be my all time favorite!!
