This movie is epic! This is how movies should look like. Best of the best. Everything is perfect with music

This movie is a deeeeep cut into British History. Yes, Arthur is based off Artorius who is thought to be Arthur of legend, but the Knights link in Israel through the 10 lost tribes as the Sarmatians were from the old Northern Kingdom of Israel after the collapse. This is why i love the movie, for the collections of myths told so well

I feel like this movie should have been a trilogy, and could have been on par with other great heavy-hitting trilogies with it's star-studded cast, and maybe if they also had the same budget for it as well. Overall a very underrated movie and although could have been even better, is still one of my favorite movies and takes on the Arthurian legend.

Your analysis made me appreciate this film's nuances far more than I first gave it credit. Mads Mikkelsen and Ray Winston!

The 2004 King Arthur movie is one of my all time favorite movies! I went to see it when it came out and have watched it dozens of times through on DVD without ever getting bored with it! Hans Zimmer's score for this movie was just stunning!! I have always been a big movie soundtrack buff and have listened to probably hundreds of movie soundtracks in my life. But it would be hard for me to not consider the soundtrack to this movie to be my all time favorite!!

Definitely one of my favourites, due to the depiction of the original Britain’s and some of the depictions of their behaviours and techniques that were gleaned from writers/sources of that time. I also think that the Saxon leader is probably one of my favourite movie villains ever, so well played. And great one liners. The depictions of the Romans too I loved, arrogant pricks haha. But the main cast are excellent and it genuinely seems like they are mates, which I think comes across as their depictions of the band of brothers. I like the idea of the alternate endings too. Oh and the Merlin portrayal is perfect for me. Cheers from Australia

Why market it as historical accuracy when it really isn’t when you realize that there isn’t really a definitive version of King Arthur that people can agree on to be a definitive version? Just market it as a reimagining of the legend, people would have still went out to see it regardless. I remember seeing a poster for this movie as a kid and I really wanted to see it. And I got my chance when my parents took me to the $0.50 theater (seriously, they had those back in the early 2000s before the price rose) and together we saw King Arthur on the not-impressive big screen but because I was 10 at the time, everything was impressive to me. And I walked out of the theater vowing to buy it when it released on DVD (which because the cheaper theaters always waited 2 to 5 months after the official release of a movie, the wait wouldn’t be long) and bought it only two months later.

Oh yeah, they spent a lot of time together. According to Mikkelsen they "spent six months on a horse together" ["two horses!" according to Dancy]

I didn't like this film. A King Author not of Britain, a bikini-clad Gwenivere being a forest master archer, a frozen lake in Britain! if Author was a seasoned military leader indebted to Rome, why would he care about one of Rome's many insurrections not directly involving his country? I remember this 2004 film being marketed as being the most historically accurate King Author... It's safe to say that it wasn't.
@johnhanifin19525 жыл бұрын
Well its kind of hard to have an historically accurate king arthur given the fact that he never existed
