My wife had 5 new Dodges (2 SRT’s). She left the brand after she got tired of nightly news videos of Dodges being over represented at block party/gang shoot ‘em ups…. Not kidding.

Dealerships are a total scam... I despise the direction the modern automotive world is heading too.. And I kno it has to be the MF suits making all of these asinine decisions... Stalantis is detrimental to the automotive culture.. have you seen that they've been starting to crush old concept cars?? Like historically significant examples too.. The only explanation they offer is "it'll cost too much to make it road worthy and nobody wants it" 😢

The median home price in the US is above $400k, the median HOUSEHOLD income is $74k. If the median income of an individual is $37k per year, do these car manufacturers think that when you buy a 7 seat SUV, that all 7 of those people are pitching in on the cost??? These prices are insane. They think in a vacuum as if nobody has any other bills... as if the IRS isn't stealing roughly 30% of that income before we even look at the mortgage bill etc. Quick math courtesy of Google: Median home mortgage at 5.25%: $2,137mo Median car sale price ($47,218) at 6% (sub-prime): $1,015mo Median household income of $74k after taxes and withholdings is around $4,000mo. So the average family in an average home, with a SINGLE VEHICLE of average cost would have about $848mo remaining. In that we are supposed to pay for food, utilities, clothing, gas, insurance etc. Just to be the US average. pretty unrealistic huh?? Now wrap your head around the vehicles in this video were almost double the median sale price we did the math at, and you quickly come to the conclusion they are unaffordable for the average family. not that they care, but thats why they arent moving units. Americans simply cant afford it.

We got a dealer here in Illinois that’s selling a B5 blue T/A Challenger sticker is $58,000 they’re selling it for $40,750 anybody interested in it. The dealer is Riverfront Dodge. I put the same car into Kelley blue book and they’re saying the trade-in value is like $34,000 and that’s with 750 miles on this car so just keep that in mind if you were thinking of only keeping this for a year which you’ll have more then miles 750 so it’ll probably be even less.

I’ll tell you right now as a guy who’s had 2 rams, 4th and 5th gen - 125 thousand and it’ll have the same issues as the rest of the trim packs. Unless they sort the issues they have with vendors, problems will persist. The other main issue is that they’re throwing defective parts at defective parts and hoping for the best. They tried to charge me 4400 for something they messed up, I fixed it in 30 mins - and wasn’t trying to. I was doing something else and now the other problem is fixed. They’re leaving it to the customer and their ability to manage frustration, it’s pretty clear. A lot of us solve it for them (on our dime).

Lets jack up the prices 30-40%, create a horsepower locator to drive up the hype, then announce we are discontinuing both models to go electric! Imagine the money we'll make!
So have u talked to the dealership…… when will prices go down ?

I bought a new Charger R/T Plus for 37k out the door before down payment in August 2020. Same spec now, 55k with double the interest. Dodge hasn’t changed nothing it’s completely identical. My local dealership still has 22’s (new) on lot.

Dealerships bent many people over when there was a supply chain issue, and people have not forgotten. Then, there’s high interest rates and high insurance costs (due to parts prices increase because of inflation) and there you have a perfect storm. Screw them! Next, why do people leave those yellow spoiler guards on their cars after they buy them? 🤷♂️

Most automakers raised their prices ~20% the past five years due to inflation. Stellantis average sale price increased 52%. They deserve everything they get for being so greedy the past five years--the party is over.

Car companies in denial that MSRP’s too high. Because people making big bucks still buying their 6 figure priced crap. They need to cut their MSRP’s IN HALF, Jeep grand wagoneers having all kinds of electronic & software issues & refuse to fix or buy back. Stellantis CEO destroying USA brands, it’s huge mess but is it on purpose?

Bro I remember when I financed a new 21 wide body scatpack for $45k. Kept it for about a year and had enough. Terrible gas mileage, high rates, poor handling, very dated interior and next to no tech. It blows my mind what they are trying to sell these things for now. It’s no wonder no one is buying them. Only a complete idiot would buy one of these now at these ridiculous prices.

@@slimv3.162 ya I feel like people expect too much from dodge though. They advertise their cars as what we see on social media, straight line speed, burnouts and donuts. They handle a lot better than what people give them credit for but as far as interior it’s a 10/10 as far as looks go but I can’t stick up for them with the old tech like you said. I feel that’s the only place they fall short. No big gas guzzling V8 is gonna get great gas mileage either idc if it’s a 5.0, 6.2..much less a 6.4..and rates isn’t a fault on dodges end that’s the greedy dealers
