I’m still trying to nail a routine down. I work night shifts, Monday to Friday. Sleep most of Saturday and feel like I have loads to catch up on, on Sunday. It’s annoying me a little that I feel like I can’t find the time to write. 😢

I am so glad that I came across your channel! This is exactly what I am needing to get my writing vibe back on. I am currently writing my first book, which is my memoir. I love to write, and I have the time to write, but the motivation and creativity is not there at the moment. I will definitely check out the other videos out. Again, thank you for sharing and posting this video. I love these types of video.

Working on a romantic thriller, just starting my plotting. Going to do a mood board and pick a music list as you spoke about! Good idea! Created a 4x8 whiteboard in my hall way to use to mind map and plot out the book. Every time I walk by it to go to the laundry room, it inspires me. I stop along the way and write more notes. it only cost me about $40 because I bought the board at Home Depot plus some little frame edging for it that's plastic and eraser command strips to put it up on the wall and erasable pens!! Love it! 🎉❤

Hey Scrintal squad! 👋 Hope everyone's PKM journey is going strong! 🚀 First off, big props to Scrintal for getting us this far. The app's been a solid sidekick in our PKM adventures. But you know how it goes - the more you learn, the more you want to do, right? So, here's the deal: I feel like we're hitting a bit of a ceiling with our app setup. Don't get me wrong, we've learned some killer skills, but it's like we've got these shiny new tools and nowhere to use them. Here's what I'm thinking: 1. App Situation We're missing out on native desktop and mobile apps. Imagine being able to Scrintal anytime, anywhere! 📱💻 2. Sync Struggles: Our brilliant ideas should flow seamlessly between devices. Right now, it's more like a game of digital hopscotch. 🔄 3. On-the-Go Notes Inspiration strikes at the weirdest times. We need a way to jot down those lightbulb moments wherever we are. 💡 4. Skill Practice: We've learned so much, but without the right playground, it's tough to flex those new PKM muscles. 💪 I'm thinking if we could tackle these, we'd be unstoppable in our research quests. The potential is there - we just need to unlock it! What do you all think? Are you feeling this too? Let's brainstorm how we can work with the Scrintal crew to make our PKM dreams a reality. Drop your thoughts below! Let's get this conversation flowing and see where it takes us. 🌊 Cheers, P.S. Scrintal team, if you're reading this - we still think you're awesome. We're just excited about where we could go next! 😊

Thank you so much! Honestly there are occasionally guided meditations that just hit different. This one, you, today, now, is one of these moments. For wtaf ever reason the sun beams on my closed eyes gave me an almost non-stop moving "images" behind my lids. One thing going thru something then morphing to something totally different doing it's own thing. And on and on the entire meditation. That, combined with your speech and the meaning and the way I meditate all wrapped together gave me just the loveliest ideas. Visions. Inspirations. Thoughts. Ideas. It really was beautiful and I thank you for it! I NEEDED that. And I did know that I needed it, but not as much as I actually did need it. Again, thank you.

Is it wrong to use AI for brainstorming? I don't want AI to write my story, I want to understand what kind of curses are in fantasy books and odds and ends so my story makes sense.
@rachelmartin8121

I completely agree! The only useful way to use AI is possibly in advertising or steps to take to help your books be noticed? There are authors with that knowledge who have REAL experience and useful programs to turn to for these things. I prefer that it stayed in the medical advancement lane.

Very exciting time for you! 🎉 Will you be taking time away from writing when the newest member of the family arrives? I just got back into writing this summer. Thank you! 🥳 I plan to keep writing however and whenever I can, but I'm also going to show myself * a ton* of grace when the second little one arrives. I want to soak up those newborn moments because they go by so fast. So yes, I'll probably take a few-months' hiatus from writing and then get back to it.

Generative AI doesn’t work as good as some people think it does. I played with it just for kicks and giggles. I wanted to see how far I could push it. DISCLAIMER: I WILL NOT USE ANY WRITINGS COM8NG FROM GENERATIVE AI AND HAVE NOT USED ANY OF MY OWN MANUSCRIPTS FOR THIS TEST. With that said I had it make up a story for me using a simple idea. I asked multiple questions for a mystery novel. Setting, character, synopsis, etc., and had it generate a 300-page novel. After a while a started recognizing the plot point that was familiar to a movie an knew that it was crossing the line into plagiarism. If you ask it too many questions the software gets confused and can’t retrieve its previous information it just generated for you. And if you have it revise a chapter or the outline about the third time it somehow los3s track of the original storyline. The best system is your imagination and creativity. We all will remember a word or two from a book we read. Or a plot that inspired us to write. It’s how we take that tidbit and make it into something magical and no AI can ever do that.

What they did I think is far worse than just take a bad stance. by bringing in ableism they intentionally put the disabled community in the middle of this conversation. I have watched so many feel like they have to defend themselves or using assisted technology tools because of this. and that's the point. it take the conversation away from how bad a stance it is on nanowrmo and focuses it on those writers instead. This is how you exploit a vunerable community. Though kudos to our writing communities for not being fooled by such a heartless take and remaining focused on nanowrimo for such a horrible act.

Thank you for sharing your querying process! It’s helpful to see the behind the scenes of trying to get an agent because, while it’s exciting, it’s also such a scary and intimating and vulnerable process. I hope you connect with someone that will champion your books!

Kristen You have found, at such a young age, what people search for their whole lives….validation. You have found what success feels like to you. Not what others think it should be for you. And by doing what you are doing, life will be so much better, happier, more peaceful and healthier. Our world is in a constant success marathon, a competition against others and ourselves to out perform, out maneuver, out sell. But 99% of the time, we lose ourselves and what’s really important. As someone said to me recently, “ no one is going to stand at your grave and say, “she had the best set of kitchen appliances “ . You are so gifted and you are an old soul , and these attributes are apparent in your writings, your family life, your home and this channel. Just keep being you. We appreciate you, your time and help. Thank you 🤗😊
