Its in tribute to the British Jewish family that funded the project and gave so much to see it happen. Next to the Torah, the Talmud is the greatest intellectual and spiritual achievement of Jewish civilization. This is what religious Jews devote their lives to studying, in order to better do G-d’s will on earth.
