I think Match boxes are way better than actual dominos plastic / wooden blocks. Match boxes are easily available. Also they falling slowly , making process smore lengthy and enjoyable. Hats off to team for making such long and complex dominos structure.

You should regularly check the iron piping for signs of rust on the external surfaces. Especially where the pipes enter the concrete.. Also tap the pipes with a hammer to detect interior signs of rust. I would use a geologist hammer. It has a point on one side. Maybe you could use a ball peen hammer first. You would be checking for the different sound created by a change in the thickness of the metal. Any sound difference would indicate a problem. Which should be taken care of when necessary. Those pipes were designed to be used inside walls or underneath the floor of a house, still fairly well protected from the elements. We have had a lot of old metal playground equipment failures a while ago. And then they were replaced with some sort of ridged plastic tubing. The other thing that you could do is add concrete inside the pipes.
