Akrapovic do a nice street legal Titanium Silencer Stainless 3-1 System for the MT09. I think MOT's will become more difficult to pass in the future as to emissions. Damn you Greta:)

Exactly. Don’t know why manufacturers don’t at least provide a very simple-to-install ~$300 protection package. Most owners are going to install one anyway and even a braindead shop can manage an install

I'm sorry but I prefer the sound pf the stock exhaust : more natural and melodious. The akrapovic carbon makes just more noise and it's not important to me. I prefer the stock one, definitly.

@@MT-09_SP that's just a question of taste 😂 I have very musical ears and spend a lot of time in professional recording studios. And to my ears the sound of the stock one is better, less noise but more musical.

Thanks . It won’t fit a comfort seat but with a aftermarket one I don’t see why it shouldn’t if the mounting bolt are in the same place.

As an owner of the new MT-09 SP.. I understand why you would look at it.. but I must say.. your bike is pretty damn good looking as is now! my favorite feature is that quick shifter. I also like the MT-10 and the Tracer 9. Then the R9 should be coming out soon! cheers!

@@mrtemps7373 something that I notice with our generation of 09’s and even more so on the previous generation is that they don’t particularly like slow speed riding. There’s a jerkiness of the throttle and it gets amplified when an aftermarket exhaust is installed. Especially irritating around town. Do you notice it?

@@stephenspiteri_zunkus I don’t really notice it though I do use B mode around town and A, STD for the open fast roads. My previous bike was a 2009 R1 and the throttle was really jerky in all modes.This bike is a massive improvement to me so maybe that’s why I don’t really notice it .

Does the dB killer make a big difference? I have the same exhaust on my Mt, I don't have a dB killer because I bought the bike second hand. Im think about buying one as my ears ring like mad after a decent ride, even with ear plugs in!
