I was there at Red Rocks June 11,1982, down in front hanging on the rail. I can still feel the bass guitar vibrating my clothes on Turn Me Loose.

Saw this same concert in Indy this summer. Turn Me Loose never gets old. Mike and Paul rock! Their drummer is solid, too!

I love Joe but man that intro just is such a stark difference. It’s evident he’s playing someone else’s material. Eddie put feeling and expression into every single note, Joe is incredibly good, but it’s like the robot human paradox, the closer to the original the more you notice the differences.

Two things: In 1999 our band opened for Loverboy at a huge corporate gig, and the keyboard player could not have been nicer, as we chatted for nearly 30 minutes. Two: we played one of the very last shows with bass player Scott Smith before his tragic accident. 1999 was a time before thousands of new indian casinos totally revamped these old rock acts careers, and you could book a Loverboy for $10k, or Eddie Money for $5k. The casinos totally saved so many of these old dudes.

I know the guitar player (Joe Satrioni?) is supposed to be one of the best in the biz but what the hell is he doing on this song? He's playing so much of the song incorrectly that it sounds horrible and he should be embarassed. He missed so many parts and notes that it's almost like he's only heard the song a few times. Not good Joe. Do better. Let's not even get into Sammy's vocals. It's not Vince Neil level bad but it's getting closer and closer. Jesus Sammy. Practice your own songs so you can provide your fans what they deserve. This wasn't good at all EVEN WITH lower the key or octive 1 notch. I understand singers need to make adjustments sometimes as they age and with Sammy's range being fairly high like in this song, I can understand that he would need to maybe change a few things but even so, it was not good at all. You need to do better sammy.

Sorry but Joe playing that guitar sounded horrible. He missed a lot of notes as other people are pointing out. I don't know what song he was playing but it wasn't good. It was mediocre and considering that he is considered a legend and one of the best in the business, he should be embarrassed by this performance. It's almost as if he only heard the song a few times in his life and he was just trying to Wing it. Not good.
