The update just loads infinitely and stays at 35% complete. I followed all instructions. I don't know what to do because no one has had this issue on the internet.

What settings do you use in the tot lots on the double score?

Well I keep it pretty simple. Parks are pretty trashy and I hit a lot of tot lots so I keep the recovery speed on 3. I use discrimination pattern G. I used to keep IF on 0 as I feel the lower you have it the better it is on unmasking. Unfortunately I found myself chasing rust so I bumped it up to 4. Seems to be my sweet spot. Just enough to make the iron tone crackle a little bit. I mainly hunt in M1 unless it's wet then I use M3. Sensitivity depends on where I'm hunting and how deep I want to dig. Tot lots probably 4. In the grass at a nice park maybe 6-7. In a field where I can dig to china 9 lol. Hope that helps happy hunting.

37:14 I got a give away planned, going to do it towards the end of 2025, nit doing anything crazy like a detector, just like a silver coin worth $15, $15 canadian dollars that is, and if its just a coin i could ship it anywhere in the world for not too much money, going to have gopher stickers printed out by then too that say "gopher it!" I signed up to sticker mules email letter to see when the next time stickers are on sale, right now they have magnets on sale, which would be kinda cool, but im waiting for stickers

Sticker mule makes great stickers, but they are kind of expensive. I used to get my stickers from them. Can't remember where I got my last stickers but when I get home I'll let you know. Way cheaper and pretty good stickers

I joined rednote/Xiaohongshu with the "TikTok refugees" and there is almost no real detecting videos on it, there's a few obviously fake xfind type videos on it So I have been posting 5 minute clips from my KZbin videos But I posted one coin roll hunting video and it got way more people favouriting and liking the coin roll hunting video than any of my metal detecting videos Metal detecting is strictly forbidden in China, so I wouldn't be surprised if most Chinese don't know much about it, and any artifacts you do find in any way must be reported to authorities I think that's kinda funny due to the amount of cheap $100 detectors China sells to the west

The only coin I found in a any of the 2 or 3 sidewalk ripouts I've done was was a 1968 dime which could possibly be .500 silver in Canada, and it sure looked silver it was toned dark, but when I got it home it stuck to a magnet so it was just nickel

I was thinking about that. I have found several old coins next to sidewalks and slabs 🤔. There's one sidewalk in a newer park that I have found a couple 100 year old Wheaties next to. I think that park was once an old home site that got donated to the city so no telling where they came from.

Nice hunt and congrats on the silver quarter! I understand the need for hunting tot lots for content but I have almost given up on hitting them constantly. I find more items in park fields and old home sites. I know old home sites aren’t available to everyone as well. Well deserved silver after digging in that muddy mess!!! 😂

Tot lots replenish really slow where I am, I have about 8 tot lots within a bicycle ride from me and most of them I only bother hitting once a year in the fall There's a big tot lot in the big park I'll hit every 1-2 months and find a thing or 2 When I first started detecting all the tot lots were LOADED, I think I'm the only person who hits tot lots in my area, I think I'm the youngest detectorist in my area most the other detectorist are old and looking for silver coins and artifacts not modern jewelry

Luckily I have a lot of pretty busy tot lots in rotation to hunt. I do love hunting fields and old home sites as well. Just hard to get permissions in the middle of the week lol.

Great video mate. Used my triple score for the first time on the beach yesterday im in the uk! Never found anything good but was just getting used to the machine and how it works. Could i ask whats the cover over the coil wire on yours for is it to stop wear?

They are called snake skinz. They do protect your coil wire from being damaged. Also as I have several different Nokta machines I have the coils color coded to each machine. There are different brands of coil wire covers you can find them on Amazon.

I am brand new to metal detecting, and I bought the Legend Pro Pack as my first detector so I am just learning. I have been watching some detecting KZbin videos and other videos on the Legend. I read some people saying NOT to update and that the latest update is not as stable as the older one. My new machine that I just got three days ago came with Software Version v1.11 How do you feel about updating to the latest ? Should I do it ? Keep in mind I have NEVER used my Legend. Hell, in fact, I have NEVER used ANY kind of metal detector so I wouldnt know whether my machine is running properly or not. Should I just go ahead and update it anyways?

I am using the 1.17 firmware and I love it. I think it's the best version of the legend and I did almost all of the updates. If you update just don't forget to do the factory reset when you are done. I'll warn you about most of the legend videos especially the ones on settings. Most of them are garbage lol. All that tone breaks and tone bucket stuff is trash. Go factory settings with 60 tones and G discrimination pattern till you get used to the machine. Then you can start adjusting things.

Do you think its worth going to the legend over the triple score?

Well that really depends on what you need. The Legend is Nokta's most capable machine right now, but I would say the triple score is a very close second. My advice would be to look at the features the legend has that the Triple Score doesn't. If you think you would benefit from those extra features then maybe the Legend is the way to go.
