Same I love finding Wheaties. Set the bar pretty high first Wheatie of the year a 1914. Oldest coin of the year wonder if I'll be able to top it this year 🤔

I'm still using my original finds pouch from when I started detecting in April 2023, it has the tinest tear in the mesh bottom from when I used to drop my digger into it before I bought a sheath, I should take some dental floss and tie it closed, it's a grey ghost ultimate catch all pouch, it wasn't the cheapest pouch, but it will be going onto it's third season in 2025 When I bought my deus 2 on black Friday my dealer through in a bunch of this "pulltab gear" brand stuff, a sheath, a pouch, gloves, brush on a retractable lanyard, keychain, and most importantly, I'm glad he didn't exclude this, a lucky pulltab 😁 The pulltab gear pouch is interesting, it has a spot to clip a sheath too, instead of putting the sheath on your belt But I don't know if my grey ghost pouch will ever break for me to break out the new pouch

Yeah I was pretty upset with myself when I saw my pouch starting to come apart. Definitely my fault for not emptying. Since I haven't been doing wrap up videos I've just been letting things build up. Must have had $20 in change and all other types of finds in there 🤣. That's one good thing about the pouch I use it's only about $10 so not a big loss when it's time to get a new one. I'll have to check out pulltab gear. Never heard of it.

Great video sir!!!! Question realistically how often do you charge your accupoint? Mine last for months on a full charge but I don't hunt as much as you do. Plus I cycle mine out with another 9 volt Nokta pin pointer.
@TheTexanDetector12 күн бұрын
Well I have two accupoints i use so that's a hard question to answer. Seems I can tell a difference in performance well before the battery is actually exhausted. That's when I decide to charge. Normally about the time I get to the last bar of battery seems the pin pointer starts to behave a little different. Seems I start getting these little false chirps. Not major falsing its just a chirp here and there. May be in my head, but definitely seems to work better on a full charge.

See I wouldn't leave you hanging too long 🤣. I wasn't planning on detecting for another 45 minutes, but the signals just kept coming 😁

@TheTexanDetector loved the video. Thanks for finishing the story you started lol. Good way to end the video with the wheatie.

I purposely only film in 15 minute clips, but I just edit on my phone I havnt used my laptop in years, exporting on cap cut on the phone only takes about 30 minutes give it take 15 minutes depending on the length of the clip, I usually choose 1080p, medium bitrate and the default frames per second I forget how many it is, but sometimes I choose 720p and low bitrate if the file is large, I try to keep my videos around 2gb for some reason, well it's because the first video I ever tried to upload errored out, and I Google KZbin Max file size and the result said 2gb, but I've since uploaded larger than 2gb files so I know that's not true, but I still edit my videos to be 2gb just cause idk
@TheTexanDetector13 күн бұрын
Yeah I think I'm making things hard on myself with this 4k stuff lol. Sure looks better on my TV though hahahaha. I record and export in 4K 60 fps on auto bitrate. Think my problem is I need more ram. I'm thinking of upgrading to 32g of ram. Seems that's what's recommended for 4k video editing. Back when I recorded in 1080p only took about 20-30 minutes to export and less then half the space on my memory card, but I always have to do things the hard way lol
@digginggopher13 күн бұрын
@TheTexanDetector tbh I'm usually watching people's videos on data and KZbin defaults to like 360 or 480 p on data, although lots of people aren't like me and watch in the highest definitions I did a couple live streams and to save on data I shot them in 480p, but I usually make my recorded videos 1080p

I only have 1 battery for my go pro, but I have a XTAR PB2SL battery charger and power bank that takes 18650 or 21700 lithium ion batteries So on sunny days I take that with me and I can charge my camera or phone on the go, and I have like ten 21700 batteries I can swap out but if I'm only staying out for 2 hours I only need to take 2 with me, my go pro battery lasts about an hour My headlamp and flashlights also take 21700 batteries, which is why I have so many But if I was going out all day which I'm going to try and do a few times in 2025 I can take lots of batteries with me This set up only works on a sunny dry day, the lithium batteries could short out and explode in the rain lmao 😅 I should get a second go pro battery for the rain
@TheTexanDetector11 күн бұрын
I only get to detect once a week. Sometimes I hit 5 or 6 parks and shoot a lot of video. I go thru on average 4 batteries easy sometimes more.
