How much better is this set up than the oem or quantum aftermarket replacement?
@steinarildwiikhansen8907 ай бұрын
Probably not a longer service life on this set up vs standard LTR fuelpump w swirlfilter(with or without quantum pump replacement) Quantum also sells the whole asembly to change the KTM pump and fuel filter set up.One of the gains is easy use with only one fuel connector and eletrical connector to remove to take the tank out for cleaning or doing other service,witch can happen pretty often on a racequad.You can also use the converted tank with a efi hybrid swap like a newer CRF.

Excited to see the outcome of this! What sort of HP were your previous Yoshimura engines putting out? I’m currently building a LTR/RMZ hybrid so all your videos are very much appreciated, many thanks from the UK :-)
@steinarildwiikhansen89010 ай бұрын
Cool,thank you.Love the RMZ hybrids :) Depending on what dyno our Yoshi engines have been around mid 50s with one of them breaking in around 60 hp with a 490 kit added w custom exhaust and Vortex.A bit faster than a slightly modded RMZ hybrid but not as nimble.
@leelawton1810 ай бұрын
Awesome Ive the Athena 100mm with the CP piston the on you use? Also do you get the parts shipped to you or do you send the whole top end and / or engine to them? Mine is a 2011 engine so was wondering if they could supply a new OEM head to do the porting and supply the cams etc
@steinarildwiikhansen89010 ай бұрын
@@leelawton18 Back in the day you had to send the engine to Yoshimura RD to have all the work done.Not mutch engine services or parts available for the LTR these days from Yoshi i think.I think maybe you can order cams from Japan still but not sure.Or are you thinking of having work done to the RMZ engine.If so I have a set of new old stock Yoshimura cams to drop in,and maybe I can get you a Yoshi ported and worked head.

I am stoked to see this build Stein! So you are going to run the OEM battery box with the kicker setup? And then all the e-starter guts removed for quicker revving? Also curious why you are going back to swirl? I used to run that same inline filter on my LTR back in the day. I too am sticking with the swirl filter this go around.
@steinarildwiikhansen89011 ай бұрын
@Patrickriggs33 Me too 😉 All of the estart guts is out yes,and also done away with in the harness.Swirlfilters just work better and longer,I just buy them in bulk so they are not that mutch more expensive to run and outlast an inline minimum 4 to 1 for me.

How is the power difference compared the ltr motor ?
@steinarildwiikhansen890 Жыл бұрын
Powerwise a stock RMZ is comparable to a built LTR engine(headwork,cams,porting etc..) But the lighter weight also gives it better power to weight ratio + the RMZ transmission is a lot stronger..
