Small suggestion apex😀first of all good luck on this journey… can you upload blitz on specific days of the week and make it like a series on weekend or so? Other days you upload rapid grind. This would be so much fun too

The thing is...2000 is where 85 percent of the cheaters are! Good luck but I think ur gonna have real problems! I still would like to see the chess 960. I think it may be a better indicator of true chess ability. At least there is no opening theory to deal with!
@justsomeprofile4969Сағат бұрын
cannot confirm that. i play a lot 10/0 Rapid at 2000+ rating and cheaters are barely noticable

At least you are holding at 2000. It is very easy to lose -10 elo pretty easily. ggs. Good luck on the next run.

I actually had that too. Losing to someone in person who was 600 points lower rated. I had a little bit of a brain freeze. It’s a different mindset playing when you know you should realistically almost always win. Also having an underdog mentality is always better

Apex, would you agree that you struggle much more tactically than positionally? Do you think that was why it took you as long as it did (not that it was an insanely long amount of time) to hit 2000 Rapid? Just curious.

Hey Apex, when again in 2023 did you start the whole rating climb idea (the very first video I mean)?
@bobibobbobinoКүн бұрын
d4 straight up losing and Net missed the dual attack with the pinning bishop and the queen 😅 I really wanted to see the Knight go on g5 when ...d5 was pushed, provoking more weaknesses in Black's camp. Verified with the engine and the first Queen (Qf2) and last Queen moves (h4) you looked at were the best after ...Qb6
@kingsgambit7098Күн бұрын
The rating does matter, but you have to play your opponent and not necessarily the position. He was pretty loose with his pawns and endgames are hard for you, so in theory, you could play simple chess. Another observation was how quick he was willing to trade pieces. You can also ask the question of what pieces did he often create threats with. Off the top of my head, it was Qb6 and two different checkmating threats in the second game. All of which required the queen. Trading queens would have made the game more complicated for him to find counterplay as he even used it to gobled all of your queenside pawns in the first game. This is how chess is played at the high rating as we all understand the position pretty well, but each of us are more talented in specific areas.

In my firsts game in the U1700 ( ignatioskarao ) i played an 1100 which took an unexpected time in making some simple moves and ended up with 2000 expected elo after the analysis( i thought the position was kinda complexed ). I dont know if its cheating or not but take a look at that cause i will end up with 4.5 points ( i think its tied 3rd position) Thanks for hosting the tournament, was really really fun
@thinkprogramming6764Күн бұрын
@kiriosntomatas3979 that 1100 player was me in endgame you literally blundered rook and later queen and there was nothing complex in game we traded all our pieces normally and I later pushed my pass pawn and there might be few instance where I might have taken longer time for a obvious move maybe it due to pressure of playing against high rated player I was playing move very consciously.
