I’m seeing a lot of criticism for the thumbnails. I really like them. They’re creative, mostly fresh, and I know exactly whose channel I’m looking at when I see them. It’s literally all the things you want in a thumbnail.

cool, but if you're dependent on arrows for calculation, you might struggle at OTB games.

Hmmm, I actually like the looks of that. With the weak light squared diagonal that my queen has access to and the rook on a1 coming to f1. Definitely don't think it's sound but black has little development so if he wasn't careful he could find himself in trouble pretty quick

Going into closed positions is always a positional battle. Don't beat yourself up. Even 2100 elo players struggle in those areas. I think the domino's started with c4. Once you pushed c4, d4 was always going to be a target and eventually e5. A little disappointed by your opponent's play in that rook endgame to be honest. He had many ways to convert his advantages and opted to be passive with one of his rooks.

Not really, if you look back a ways, you can probably tell what the result is. The people who want to watch my journey are going to watch wether they can tell it's a good or bad day. Imo, it's better than me getting my editor to clickbait every video and make it seem like there was brilliant chess played every single day

I really wish your thumbnails were more ambiguous. They kinds spoil the video and make me wanna skip certain ones. Just my opinion. Good luck on the grind.

I personally think the thumbnail are really well done especially for the size of the channel, and I see what you mean by they spoil it but the main goal is to watch chess and follow his progression whether or not it’s a loss or win, but that’s just my two cents

Yeah I know what you mean. I think where it's a daily series it's hard for my editor to really make different types of thumbnails without somewhat telling the results of the game. I mean I could tell him to just try and clickbait and make every thumbnail look like I just played high level chess but personally I like how he goes about it. Appreciate the feedback though!
