I have the Hard Day's Night soundtrack on vinyl, I bought it like 30 years ago or more and it has this version on it with the single vocal track. I always preferred it and I always wondered how it came to be. Being on the album is probably the most high profile way to purchase that song ie. it wasn't on a 'bootleg' or 'outtakes' album but the soundtrack to the film and it had the rarest version of this song in existence. I'm not sure if it had the extra bars in the outro like this one however.

Also that extra ending!! I think it was only found on German releases.

This song was only released this way on the American album “Something New”. It’s definitely my favorite version.

What is so good about the Beatles' music is that every song is different, unique. Many bands or artists now make an album and it's hard to say where one song ends and another begins. (It was the same in the 60s, to be fair). But listen to a Beatles soundtrack and every one is unique.
