these are great videos. GD is such a quality company offering top notch shafts in a variety of tweaks between each one, while maintaining their signature feel and windows. i get that there seems to be some support or endorsement from this club head brand, but i would love to see these tests done using a club head that most people are more familiar with, to remove some of the “is that the shaft or this head causing that bias and frequency?” variable. many viewers might not be able to relate to or be familiar with how that [whatever it is] brand driver head performs. great work, though! all of these shafts are great for driver, but even better for 3 or 5 wood. i have an HD 7-X and a CQ 7-X i swap between in my GT3 15° and they are both spectacular!

This is a brand new head, and they're letting me use their facility to test stuff and get to use their tech! It's a head that has stood up against anything else I have hit this year but I totally understand what you're saying. I am actually going to follow up with another video in the future talking about trying some of these in a fairway wood. There's 3 or 4 of the lineup that I think would make really awesome fairway options! Thanks for watching!

I was originally fit into the XC but once I tightened up my swing I moved into the HD. The XC felt great with the soft handle but it became a timing issue. The HD is just point and shoot. Great explanations on these shafts. Subscribed!

After testing, and a former XC user with a new swing now, the HD is a fantastic way to get into a new handle without overcorrecting! I'd say you're spot on!

Great video. I've seen a few know where reviewers have been sent some shafts to try and GD seemingly never send the IZ, which in my opinion is the best shaft they do by some margin.
@Omnis22 күн бұрын
CQ is basically a Yonex Rexis Kaiza shaft in Tour AD branding, but is their update to the MJ. UB is an update of the DI profile with Toray's newer (stiffer) prepreg materials. Similarly, XC is the update to BB, and GC is the update to TP. IZ was supposed to be their first try at updating the DI, but the DI has always been the sales king. It's a little stiffer in the butt with a softer midsection so it has more of that Blueboard/DiamanaGT feel. VF is Tour AD's ventus black.

Great video! I just went back to check out the previous video on the other 4 GD shafts. None of them were as good as these. Were these really all better or were you just swinging it better today? I really wanted to see VF perform better. Love the red/black. Great work, thanks!
@madefortherangegolf2 күн бұрын
@@chucksmerdon6256 the IZ is just truly my fit. Goes to show why testing matters so much! Every player is going to have a different one that works for their swing type! My goal with these videos is to hopefully narrow those options down to 2 or 3 for people instead of the entire lineup!

I recently discovered tour ad di to be fantastic in my fairway woods. Easy to shape a shot, easy to launch without trying and it's 5mph faster than my ventus tr. My swing and ball speed is nearly identical to yours. Tour ad vf is a beast. I'm not even using it in an x flex. Even the 6s launches low. I'm getting 9-10 launch at 2000 rpm. I had to take it out cause I can't launch it over trees when I need to.

Awesome sit-down. I was a big fan of Evnroll. In 2017 i bought an ER2 with a heavier 385g head. played with it for about 3 years. The groove tech def. works. last summer i was remotely custom fit for a LAB DF3. 72 deg lie angle, 36 inches, counterbalanced and heavier head options. 17 in. SS grip and NN head marking. love it. Out of curiosity, I emailed Evnroll yesterday to see if they can customize their 38 inch Tour 38 Zero putter. Their website doesn't offer any custom button, so i'm assuming its a no. I'm 5'6" so 38 inches hits me in my stomach, I play my 36 in. DF3 by choking down about 2 inches to get the full effect of the counterbalancing.

Im sure if you reach out to the team they can help you out!
@stephendibari501013 күн бұрын
@@madefortherangegolf yeah no doubt they will get back to me. I’ve been thinking though why get a similar setup as my DF3? aluminum heads will feel pretty much the same. If anything I may go for a Z2s or Z5s at 33 inches, 71 or 72 deg (if they can bend it 2 degrees) for the firmer feeling steel head. I’ll see
@stephendibari501012 күн бұрын
@@madefortherangegolf turns out I rolled them at a pga tour superstore closest to me. The steel versions felt nice and clicky, BUT that backwards hosel setup is definitely unusual and I couldn’t get past it. I fell in love with a 38 TOUR SPEC ER2 satin. Wow. The feel off the face was amazing the best feel/sound ever and I’ve been golfing just over 30 years !! It has a special insert. Incredible. I ordered it and will get it customized at 33 inches. 72 degree lie angle, d5-d7 Swingweight.

This is a great video! What you do that other shaft reviews don't is you add the information of what type of player and swinger these will suit, and then you explain the entire process of how the shaft works through the swing. Keep it up. you are onto something here. Additionally, your ball speed is relatable to a lot of good amateur golfers. Too many reviews are either 170+ or under 150.. Can you do these reviews with the other lineups....Tensei, Diamana, etc...
@madefortherangegolf22 күн бұрын
The plan is to try and cover most of the families currently on the market! Right now we're in a pause... because a BIG announcement is coming soon that will make these videos even better! What you described is the entire basis behind Made for the Range! I want to be able to provide everyone with the information of what could work for them and what might not based on certain characteristics. Basing any sort of decision off of watching somebody else's swing would never be what I want! Hopefully this helps!

What Swing Speeds do you or I guess Sub70 looking for in the JD model? Not saying I am a high swing speed guy, just curious? I have the 849 pro and I am digging these new drivers. Also it looks like the JD is hard to fade for your swing. my wife is going to be mad, I will most likely set up a fitting in May.

I wouldn't worry about swing speed so much as spin. Its a very very low spin head, so as long as your swing can produce spin, it's really good at controlling it from spinning up too much

Hi I just unboxed my M7 no GPS tonight and will be trying this out tomorrow AM at Lonnie Poole NC golf course there are many hills and elevations I hope the rear wheel can keep my bag and trolly from toppling over! So far in the house it works nicely but I can't figure out how to keep the unit on level 1. Cheers and hit'm straight.
@madefortherangegolf2 ай бұрын
@@MikeGreen-v1r you shouldn’t have any problems with the elevations! Just make sure it goes straight up and straight down. The side hills are where things can get dicey! As far as it remaining on Level1, just know that the remote and the dial act separately. So if you stop the trolley on level 4 it’s going to remain there. If you turn the dial to 1, but then start it back up with the remote it’ll go right back to four!
