Personally not a fan of Kelly. He was a horse thief on an industrial scale. When police went to search for the gang he decided to ambush them. One badly wounded officer crawled off trying to save his own life but Kelly walked along behind him and casually murdered the helpless fellow. Pretty much the exact same thing as those people in Wieambilla who ambushed and murdered the two police and the neighbour in 2022. We certainly do not celebrate those guys.

did you go to manning in s.a plus where does the water drain to at the loch
@chasinganadventure25 күн бұрын
Nah we didn’t stop by manning, the water is just transferred in and out of river in lock. 😊

@Azzadazza7328 күн бұрын
The lock is solely for the travel of the boats up and down the river. Think of it as a step. There is a dam wall on the other side that holds the water back to somewhat control the water level
@chasinganadventure25 күн бұрын
The lock does serve that purpose yes but it’s also does control the flow of the river. Very interesting concept that’s for sure 😊…. Thanks for watching

Hey guys, we've loved watching your travels. For us, it's been much more enjoyable to watch you guys vs other KZbinrs out there because you guys haven't been flogging s&*t off every episode and jamming new vans and cars down our throats that you've been given etc - you're more relatable for everyday people and families. We are taking off ourselves just after Xmas for 18 months and we can't wait.

Lake Bonney, is one of the first places we took our kids camping years ago and then returned with our grandkids. Not sure if you follow Jack and Megan but they camped in the same spot as you guys not long ago. Renmark is also one of our favs, the town is so green and clean, they are both only 2-2.5 hours from home.

@chasinganadventure29 күн бұрын
Such an interesting thing to watch!
@jasonn565627 күн бұрын
@@chasinganadventure, you are pretty much correct in your description of how a Lock works. The Locks and weirs were put in to help control the flow of the river and to allow passage of the paddle steamers up and down the river, this was done to allow movement of goods, stock produce and people back in the early 1900’s when road travel wasn’t as easy as it is today.Now they mainly see houseboats and dinghies but still operate pretty much the same. The weirs also control the flow so that is always water in the river,it is maintained at specific pool levels so that the towns along the river will always be able to access water to support the towns people and the growing of produce can be maintained. If they weren’t there the river could potentially run dry. We work hard at the Lock to maintain it and the surrounds so that it is enjoyable for all who visit.👍😎 Enjoy your trip.
