This is how the boys should still be. Instead I had to see them separately. Still good. But this is magic in a bottle.

One of the greatest bands in all history, i saw them twice in concert with Geoff Tate in "Operation: Mindcrime" and the "Esmpire" tours... to add to my wide variety of concert venue experiencies lol!

These two guys were pure magic. I was a senior in HS when a friend introduced me to their music via Operation Mindcrime, and was completely blown away. The only other band to do that was Alice In Chains.

Not at all. Empire was more radio friendly, more like to sell singles, but Promised Land as an album itself stands better and follows a theme like Mindcrime.

The fact that this guy did what he did musically and then walked away from it when he was done with it for his family and his personal life is really astounding to me. He literally had an incredible music career with a lot of output and a super high level of creativity and then went and did what he felt was the next right thing. How can you not have respect for that? This guy is obviously very intelligent and creative. I'm talking about Chris D BTW...
