Laborers should be paid partly in stock of the company. A certain percent of the company should be required to be owned by the masses it employs allowing them to also benefit from the growth and decrease the wealth gap! Also the minimum wage should align with the cost of living. Political parties shouldn't be funded by companies, allowing companies to have power over the government and causing some parties to have more influence. The government should represent the people not just the elite. Also environmental damage should be prioritized over production of surplus because future generations matter too.

I don't think it's a fair comparison to suggest that the only difference between 2019 and 2022 elections was changes to franking credits... Had the election instead been held in January 2020 I think the response to Scott "I don't hold a house" Morrison might have been very different. Then again the response to the fires would have been different.

Every time I hear someone blame boomers for the economy it makes me think two things. One they have it completely wrong and two the younger generation, for the most part, are brain washed. Why else would they go tens of thousands in debt for a worthless degree.

The build back better plan, is that the Build Back Ukraine better, with the money that should be used to repair our failing infrastructure, to allow our country to progress and remain profitable. The time has come, the writings on the wall Biden must go, no matter who, the uni-party must go away and be replaces with patriots.

Nairu will not happen in france. Because they are a part of the eu. So french companies can hire workers from any part of the eu. Which will keep wages down. They do have strong unions that can demand wages in line with inflation though.

I will argue against it. The argument you made about the boomers voting in their own interest is why democracy is a disaster and the US is a republic. Democracy steamroller minorities by design.. Plus, they knew their programs were unsustainable decades ago. Instead of fixing it, they just pushed it millenials and on. It is extremely perverse

I'm not of the notion of blaming previous generations for the inability i have to buy things. Own your life and stop playing the victim card, society seems to like to use, instead of going out there and grabbing what you want. Work for it, if you want something so bad, you'd make the effort.

I don’t agree with the assumption that oil/petroleum production is necessarily a bad thing. Oil has brought massive benefits including transportation, food supply, energy security and the broad availability to populations globally. Oil has literally brought billions of people out of absolute poverty. Our problems are primarily about pollution and loss of biomass, and given both efficiency gains and projected population stabilisation and then decreases it’s arguably a waste of time trying to ‘just stop oil’.

The core of corruption lies in not in the fact that civil servants extort money from citizens for public services. The core of corruption lies in people themselves, who give money to civil servants to get prioritised before others who don't have money. In capitalism, in which the government is small, and services are largely private, it is called market and bidding a price. In the socialist-leaned country, in which the government is big, buying services for a bigger price is called corruption.

If income equality is the goal, this must be matched with labour and skill equality. Someone working 60 hours per week should not be paid the same as someone working 30 hours or not working at all. And someone working more to create a business that employs people, should not get the same as their workers. What would be the drivers for innovation or working hard at school if the outcome is the same? This is why socialism fails.
