Remember they thought Jesus Christ was wrong and they crucified him . They found out later they were wrong and ask Peter what shall we do? Jesus Christ was even baptized under water and said it was to fulfill all Righteousness. Jesus was showing us what we need to do. the Church of Christ preaches the word of God just like it is written and don't leave out verses they don't like. God tells un Rev. 22/19 if we leave any of his word out he will leave us out of the Book of life. There are so many Churches that leave out verses the don' t like.

I've found it helpful to view the "soul" as the unification of the body and the spirit. Paul speaks of this duality as the "inner" and "outer man" (2 Cor. 4:16). It might be helpful to reflect on Adam's creation in the matter: 1. “The LORD God formed man of dust from the ground,” - God created a perfect, inanimate, physical human body from the dust of the ground. 2. “[And] breathed into his nostrils the breath of life" - After God created the body, He breathed into the man’s nostrils "the breath of the spirit of life" [cf. Gen. 7:22], 3. “[And] man became a living being [soul]” (Gen. 2:7) - finally stating that the man _became_ a living soul (body + spirit = being/soul). It also seems noteworthy that, on the Cross, "[Jesus cried out] with a loud voice, 'Father, into your hands I commit my _spirit!'"_ (Lk. 23:46, cf. Matt. 27:50, Mk. 15:37, Jn. 19:30). Similarly, as Stephen was being stoned, he too cried out: "Lord Jesus, receive my _spirit!”_ (Acts 7:59). While the words "soul" and "spirit" seem to be used interchangeably on occasion, God is primarily concerned with our spirit being saved, not our physical body, which, without a spirit is dead (Jas. 2:26), and is destined for the dust of the ground. From James' quote, it seems reasonably clear that the body without the spirit is also a body without a soul and vice versa.

Also you got to consider concerning the elders look at 1 Timothy 5:9 it says she has to be the wife of one man, etc..

If his first and second wives died and is now married to his third wife is he eligible to be an elder.?

Im just curious about your church. You all say you go by the original church structure of the new testament, but you worship on Sunday. Why not on the true Sabbath of the seventh day. If you worship on Sunday aren't you following what the Catholic Church said was their mark of authority, changing the seventh day sabbath(Saturday) to the first day(Sunday)?
