@@jamesdforsythe73 Great - then I would recommend being more skeptical toward these sort of books.

being skeptical is important. But it’s also important to go through different kinds of sources. Doesn’t help this was early on for me making videos with book reviews.

@@jamesdforsythe73 Awesome. Seems accurate that Morgan's big break was syndicating with Belmont in 1873 to destroy J Cooke, and later when Belmont's Euro-boss was integrating w the US gov and loading it w debt. But that is never discussed in these sort of books.

unfortunately, its a massive book and its been a few years since i read it. I actually have been going through a lot of my older books and plan on reading them again and doing follow up videos on them, so I will keep this in mind when I re-read this one.

I guess the next question is which will it be? Conquest or Consent?

My time in the military, we studied doctrine going back to the French and Indian war. Much of that was in the frontier. Many of the more successful Americans during the revolutionary war used warfare learned from both Native Americans and the British. Which led to America being very successful..

I’m just now starting that journey. I’ve been working my way back in the wars. Been mostly focused on World War One the past month or so

Thats why the author was making the comparison. Thats more similar to how it is today than having massive troop movements.
