I am a Mighty Mouse farm girl now living in the city. I’ve learned that where there is a will, there is a way. The boys I am currently living in has sunk a lot as it was built in the 50’s. The original homeowner put a narrow side walk in an “L” shape from the driveway across the front yard and a dog leg down the left to a side entrance about half way down. The pitch is just terrible. The sidewalk tilts toward the house. Making it worse are the overhead gutters that need replacing. I was wondering how many feet did you remove and how long did it take. I would like to save money and attempt it myself? I can’t afford to get taken advantage of! But it also looks like something I would have definitely attempted when I was younger . Your safety warning was what I needed to hear. Thank you. I have had two of my brothers killed in farming accidents and they were not careless. I probably need to take your video as a warning. I am glad I understand the process now. Thank you for sharing!

When i press the reset button on my bottom ice maker it turns and dumps, then fills, then i hear chime. But then thats it, it wont dump ice again. What could be wrong?

FYI - July 2022 - Samsung FREE Ice Maker Repair - I have seen others who have had the problem and I recently had it again as well... I decided to contact Samsung directly using the number in the refrigerator at 1-888-787-8425. They asked me for the model and serial number inside the refrigerator, which you can use your phone to magnify or take a picture and magnify. They scheduled an appointment for the Samsung Pro Team to come out, and replace the icemaker, at no charge as long as it is an icemaker issue. Mine was purchased in 2019. After getting off the phone with Samsung, I saw one other video where someone did the same thing, and they came out free of charge to fix theirs. Their authorized Rep in my area, Service Quick, came out, very professional, and timely. They replaced the motherboard, the icemaker parts, made sure it started with no problem, and later that night I had a full thing of ice. Note: When an appointment is scheduled you are given a date/window of time. They will contact you throughout the process via email/phone. Discard the first full bucket of ice, or place it in your plants, and start with the second bucket. Hope this helps someone.

Thank you for the video. Because family stored frozen food in the ice cube dump tray it broke the plastic clip when the freezer draw was forcefully closed. Even though the clip broke I was able to fashion a paperclip through the holes in each plastic connector to secure the sensor unit in place. I'll probably order a replacement tray but for now I have ice again.

Did you end up having the wire for the sensor in the right place above the ice tray? Or did you have to move it to underneath? My sensor fell out and I figured I would ask before attempting this. Thanks so much for the video.

Can you use these broken pieces of concrete as a base below the new concrete?

Personally, I would use a concrete cutter and cut it into manageable pieces. That way it reduces the amount of rubble. Then I use a hand dolly to transport. Also, the concrete cutter cuts through rebar.

Creating space under the slab allows for expansion of the bottom when you strike it, so it cracks much easier.

So if the ice is coming up to high so when you pull open the ice bucket it scraps the ice cube tray and damages it, then isn't the shutoff arm not shutting the ice making unit off early enough so the ice bucket doesn't over fill and cause problems?

my samsung refrigerator rfg298hdrs/xaa has dual icemakers. just started flashing 8e and 39e i reset panel but both icemakers quit making ice. i unplugged and plugged back in. bottom icemaker i can press the reset button and it dumps ice cubes but will only do so when i press the reset button. Top ice maker does nothing when i press the reset button but if i press the lever on the outside of the door i do here the thing turning that pushes the ice to the front. please help

Thank you!! I repaired mine while lying on back with the freezer door loosened but not removed. It would have been a lot easier to fix if my wife and children did not decide, with me trapped by the rails of the door, that it was an opportune moment to tickle my protruding, and quite pale middle age belly.

It would be nice if they came with a plunge base.
