Had one bought for $450 CAD in early 90s had some wiring replaced don't know what and had trouble selling it for $650 at a very popular used music gear store. Didn't really love the sound and couldn't haul it around with me. Also sold an mint white Ibanez AH20 to my friend for $225 because I didn't love the sound and he did. Even though they are worth a lot more even with inflation I don't regret selling as I am not a fan of having things sit and not be enjoyed.

Great playing as usual Kenny. Gibson should make this SG, it would sell with that sound & looks. Also, trapezoid inlays might work or...?

I'm curious . . . you're really getting that much dirt without a pedal? I assumed a 50 watt Sound City had more headroom than that. Not that it sound's bad, mind you.

It actually sounds really good with the Vintage 30’s. I wonder how it would sound with a quad of pre-Rola Greenbacks though.

Hi, I am very interested in buying a 1963 Fender Bassman Blonde 6G6-B amplifier (matching head and cabinet) all original and in mint condition. I live in Spain, I don't know if you can get me one. It's the amplifier of my dreams. Brian Setzer uses this amp than I would like to have. All the best.

My first tube amp, I acquired this amp with 2 4-10 cabs with Fane speakers when I was 15, I didn't know what I had at the time.

I'm the lucky owner of a Master Reverb 30, which is kind of a successor of the 70'ies SS amps. Great amp also.

I wish I’d have seen this 13 years ago. I’m sure it has to do with your good playing but that’s one of the best unmolested sounding fz-1a. I wish I could buy that very one.

Sounds really great right at the end there when you played a bit harder. Strange that no-one seems to show that side of the amp more. Sounds like it has real potential.

I knew Sid Watkins back in the late 60s. We used to bother him in his music ship in Chertsey Surrey playing his guitars. Really nice guy and he really didn't mind us all being there. Met some great people there and no doubt some famous guitarists who weren't that famous back then.

@solidbodyguitar Hi! That sounds fantastic! Your video drives home the point that the sound from some individual Rick units can really bloom and project! I'm curious as heck about what amp you were using, also whether flatwounds or roundwounds, & whether standard or custom gauge strings? Thanks!

I have that same amp. It has an extention speaker output in the back which is nice. I plug in a 12" cab and that mellows out the tone some. I find it a pretty trebly amp so you have to watch how it's EQed. There's no midrange control. It's also a loud amp for being about 12 watts. With a band in a small club I don't have it turned up more than 3 1/2. The push/pull boost I find useless. Good tremelo and reverb. It's a good, light weight, trustworthy amp. I'm happy with mine.
