You can use more modern handsets on older backpack systems but they need programming at a dealer so bring the whole thing if you go.

Thank you we love and appreciate your comment. We have been a little (well a lot) slack in doing videos. We plan on doing more in 2025 😀

@@GardenersbyTrade I'm honoured to receive your reply. It's really your viewers that should be stating thanks and showing gratitude, but if you do make new videos in 2025, we will certainly be the lucky ones. There is a lot of work behind the scenes in producing KZbin videos. Thanks for all the hard work.

Great review, thanks for putting this out there. We just found a new BR700 on sale at our local dealer so we're going to jump on it. The waist strap is optional so I'll be sure to pick one of those up as well, thanks for pointing that out.

Thanks for the good video. I wasn't sure what the 3 pronged cultivator was called or, what exactly what it is used for. I have a 1960's cultivator that belonged to my grandparents. They have a wire wrapped from prong to prong. I assume that it is to cut weeds off at the surface(?). I am going to try that out in our garden tomorrow. I just retired and took over responsibility for the garden. Thanks again for your help.

Hello! Can I ask you some things about HSA 94T? Get used machine, mechanism seems OK, but there is real heating (very hot to touch with hand - about 50-60 Celcius) of bottom plate after 10-15 minutes of work. Is it normal? And How understand that I'm not overgreased the gear box? THANKS!
@GardenersbyTrade6 ай бұрын
Hey there, to be honest although the underside does warm up we have not noticed it getting to high temperatures where risk of burning is. As far as over greasing the gear box our gets maintained by an qualified mechanic. Hope this helps a bit at least. Thanks

@@GardenersbyTrade Hi! I found the problem - one of the ball bearing dead, which inserted in metal bottom plate. Waiting for new one.

In some instances it is better to cut with the trimmer on an angle to ensure efficient cutting of growth. Many shrubs don't grow out horizontally as much as the humble privet so a slight angle outwards helps to capture all of the branches in one pass.
@GardenersbyTrade6 ай бұрын
You are spot on, I think each plant/hedge/bush grow so differently and hedge so differently there is no right or wrong way to go about it. At the end of the day its how you feel about it that counts. IMO. Thanks for the watch and comment though its really appreciated.
@doomedbook10206 ай бұрын
I take the tip protector off my cutters to minimise snagging on branches. The orange guard is also off since stihl are professional units and minimising weight and interference during operation is key.
@GardenersbyTrade6 ай бұрын
We find the balance of the bar and motor weight fine as they are and keep our unit as is. I hedge a lot of garden edges where I feel more comfortable runnimg the hedges along the ground so for me I keep the toe guard on.

I recommend knauf resin stop for removing build up on blades. This keeps the blades as close as possible during cutting and reduces power consumption by reducing friction between the blades.

Welcome back! Glad to see you still around May I give you a tip? I use my HSA94r with the cord over my right shoulder, @5:02. And that for the same thing to avoid the crossing it @5:20, I had already section the cord once, using the battery on the belt. And since than I use it in the Stihl AR backpack, with 0 issues on accidental crossings due to the higher position of the cord going down from my shoulder, and always in my field of view.

Removing a tree stump is never easy (unless it is that dead and rotted). I think it a very old fashioed way of removing a stump - lots of physical work depending on stump size. Thank you for watching and commenting. Thanks in Advance

I’m still not sold on a lot of the battery equipment. How do you think they compare to the trusty petrol versions ?
@GardenersbyTrade11 ай бұрын
We agree about the battery equipment. Mostly because of cost $$$$ Some of it including the battery backpack is very expensive. these hegders actually did very well. We think it comes down to how much maintenance you do. The more you hedge the easier it is. If you only do it once every year for example then thats a lot harder. Thanks for watching and commenting. Much appreciated.
