Nice review. I have the Fisker's powergear loppers. They are a little heavy, but they work great. Nice citrus trees!

We have quite a few citrus trees. They all need attention. Been neglected for years.

@@GardenersbyTrade citrus trees' root systems are very near the surface. Spread your fertilizer as far as the branches reach out from the trunk. Water often, just to keep the very thin layer of dirt on top moist. Not to heavy on the mulch. Roots gotta breathe. I grew up in Florida...citrus trees everywhere..I learnt a thing or three about citrus. I hope you dont mind the advice.

@@creekwalker62 Appreciate the advice mate. The citrus trees ahve been neglected for years (well since they were planted). We live in an area that is extremely sandy. Currently we are reworking our garden. In doing so our citrus trees have been neglected. However I am hoping that by the end of the year our focus will be on the trees. Yes indeed Florida is full of citrus trees. I worked there for a 'few' weeks packing oranges. 7 days a week and extremely long hours. It was fun though.

@@GardenersbyTrade Mulch is GOOD to keep citrus roots moist, but overdoing it is bad. Here in the states people will add 2-4 inches of mulch every year and they bury the root flare and the roots, and it gets deeper and deeper over time, especially in dry climates where the mulch doesn't break down. Burying the root flare is bad because the trunk bark is not meant to be below ground, and that invites insects and disease. Burying the roots too deeply stops air exchange which limits nutrient adsorption.

great dideo. thanks for making it! the felco, which you describe as an anvil blade, looks more like a bypass blade, at a glance.

I really like the fiskars products. And I love to hear Australians and the British say aluminum. 😁

Hahahaha yes aluminium is one of those kooky words that we say differently. Agreed the fiskars products are very good.

What Felco model is this? I was told Felco 220 has a system that multiplicates the force
@Ramberg673 жыл бұрын
Have you ever tried the FELCO 230 series this would be more comparative as they have a CAM system where the FELCO 210 series show does not have a cam but that means you do not have to open the handles as far.

Hey thanks for the input will definately do my best to get my hands on a pair of the Felco 230 and compare always looking for great options especially with pruning. Cheers
