Where I live, in Indiana, you're only allowed 5 jugs with 1 hook, and they have to be in view at all times. There's no leaving them overnight and checking them in the morning. 😢 That kinda spoils it in my opinion.

Yea you might as well throw out poles with those rules. I guess some states you can use one or 2 poles, which I don’t like either. Oklahoma you can use 7 rods! I’d rather give a kids more rods and put limits on video games.

this is not fishing. In fact, this looks very bad for the environment. Losing plastic jugs is not good. I am shocked this method is even legal

I had never heard of jug fishing until today. I read a news article about a 15 year old girl who caught a 100 pound blue cat in a creek near the Ohio River here in Ohio. My dad fished Lake Erie and a few lakes in Ontario, Canada for Pike, Blue Gill, Rock Bass, etc. He wouldn't have thought a catfish was worth the trouble. lol 😂

I saw the same story. Blue cats are actually really good to eat. A whiter meat. A lot of states it’s illegal to jug fish. I see a lot more older people that aren’t really big fisherman jug fishing. It’s another way to experience fishing and the great outdoors.

Also the processing of acorn, or lack thereof is going to change the effects of results, as in corn is naturally pretty sweet and acorn doesn't become such until after levels of processing

Hello great video! Was wondering on dead sticking, are the thumper and splasher an important part of helping you catch fish with this technique? If so, are both needed or just one or the other? I have a splasher but no thumper and I’m in Pennsylvania where I have never seen anyone use either. Thank you
@BooneBoys
@BooneBoys Ай бұрын
Yes they are both important, but in the winter, depending on how deep your lake is the thumper is more important. In the summer we rarely use the thumper, I don’t think it hurts, but it’s not crucial. If you watch our last few striper fishing videos on lake texoma the thumper would go off and we wouldn’t recognize it and the fish would leave. We’d turn it on and they would start drifting again with us.
@nancyn3863
@nancyn3863 Ай бұрын
So our stripers in the lake I fish are all in less than 20 fow but if you cast into the schools, they all swim away. Would the thumper help attract them to the boat still in the winter?
