I found a second-hand amp (too bad they don't make them anymore) and wondered, before buying it, if the Micro Block took the pedals well. Especially fuzz like a massive Ram’Head. Some people say that pedal amps need a preamp upstream. What about this one? I would like to use it at home as a main amp into a 2x12 V30 Celestion with effects (fuzz, OD, univibe, delay and reverb). I really appreciate your tutorials, which are always enthusiastic yet objective and show the material to its best advantage. What's more, the way you handle your effects and your playing suits my style. Greetings from France.

The Humbucker version sounds great, but I gotta give the gold to the p90s. Definitely my next guitar purchase after I stop being a broke boy.

I play Fender bass's, i use the Fender Greasebucket tone set up, i use 2 5% Polypropylene hifi grade caps, 0.1mfd & 0.022mfd or 0.047mfd, for a darker tone, & a 4K7 1% resistor...after replacing the tiny cheap 20% ceramic disc caps & the 10% tiny resistor the tone is so sweet, more 3 dimentional with a cleaner tone...CTS 8% Linear 250K brass shafted pots on both volumes & tone as i need to be able to fade in about 50% Jazz bridge pickup with Jazz neck pickup on full & i use the tone control a fair bit, works for us bassists, log pots are no good on a bass with 2 pickups...just my preferred bass tone.... Greasebucket tone set ups on my 3 Fender Bass's... Good vid bud....

Great looping jam in the intro! Always enjoy your playing. The guitar looks like a good one. I've thought about the Lava type of guitar like that, but I think this one would be a better version.

Had it for a day. Really great except for the direct out sound. Very piezo and quacky. Fun at home, but not great through speaker, although you seemed to make it sound fine ! Didn’t love the proprietary charging cable. Should have been usb-c. Great video and playing . You are my go to when I wanna know what’s up. 🙏

I'm thinking about it. My opinion is that it sounds good as an acoustic guitar, and that the built-in effects also sound good not great. What you'd expect for the price. It's not going to sound like a high-end Martin, Taylor or Gibson, or a higher-end Yamaha pure acoustic. There's something a bit thin about the sound. But the built-in looper is tempting.

Pre-ordered this here in Germany upon initial announcement, way back in October. Delivery date keeps getting postponed…now to mid-March 2025. :-( Thanks for helping me (further) whet my appetite for it. Also thanks for pointing out the relative lack of bass „oomph“. Might actually turn out to be a good thing for me, as a guy with a low voice who tunes all his guitars down to C# standard (with thicker-gauge strings), which can accentuate bass and downplay the treble strings on some guitars. That said, I already own the FG-TA by Yamaha, and love it. And its piezo sound is quite OK (not so sure how much I lied the piezo sound of the TAG 3 C…).

Pretty cool! I think at this price point and considering how digital it already is, I'd want to see them also include some built-in Impulse responses to "fake" a better acoustic sound for the direct out. If you're already layering in digital effects, you might as well improve the piezo sound.

after playing at it for some while, it is clear now, this stuff is what i was looking for so far. cool and fresh look, crazy tones, and nice playability. it just fit my pref. especially its sound fits my sound setup.. so this is my main guitar now, will use it as practise guitar, recording my next songs, and take it to the stages. 👍

Cleans are lovely, but the amp sounds pretty bad when cranked. I guess it's designed as a clean pedal platform. It would be great to hear it with some gain pedals. Great playing, as always.

Did ppl run the pre into their amp back in the day? Or were they boosting the recorded track?

Sounds great, really juicy and thick. Catalinbread makes a ton of really cool, unique, great sounding fx and this is no exception, I suppose it's possibly a bit of a reaction to the JHS color box which also is fantastic sounding and versatile. Thanks, Jay, for always being clear about exactly how you're putting a pedal through its paces regarding voltage, amp settings, etc. Great chops as per usual. Congrats on your upcoming album, looking forward to it!
