It’s GREAT to see a pedal demo that actually explains what’s happening to the guitar sound. Thank you! That Pacifica is a very nice guitar 😎

Every compressed sound used is louder than the non compressed sound it's compared to So it's always going to sound better, because louder always sounds better. Never the less, it DOES sound great, and your playing and enthusiasm is absolutely infectious
@artysanmobile9 ай бұрын
That is what compression does. With the same or even lower peak amplitudes, the average level goes up. That is precisely why they are used!

A compressor that knocked the hair off the top of your head 😂 Great one JLJ! I love your style, the hair cut and your videos man! I like the demo and video break of the compressor functions and how it affects the tone of the guitar. Thank you for always being you and rockin’ & rollin’ 🤘🏾🎸

As far as my favorite compressor, the Cali76 from Universal Audio is my go to. Great for adding bite and snap to funky rhythm parts, cleaning up emo fretboard tapping, and adding sustain to Jazz chord melody!

Great demo, the only thing I have not seen in this o other demos is the most extreme setting, like how much squish it can have. FET seems to be my favorite to answer the question at the end.

This easily replaced my Keely. Best pedal compressor I have used
@heythere698310 ай бұрын
I like the idea of compressors but everyone Iv used always shaved off the top end harmonics and refocuses the midrange which is something I never hear anyone say. I haven’t tried one with a blend yet but idk how that will sound unless I buy one to return it. But losing top end hair is always a no no . Even with my gate on my amp it does a similar thing and dries up the tone. Idk how people can enjoy that effect . I guess clean it doesn’t feel so bad but for distortion and trying to add sustain and clarity it just feels like a tone suck so I can’t make amends with compressor pedals

@@GearSmackMusic To be fair, you did say "Gone is the hair and all the skill with it." I'm sure you understand the implication of that, plus tone is difficult to show via text. If you'd used emoji or ended with /s that would have conveyed your joke better.
