Watch this before every dive as a beginner. Very helpful

Please make sure you are doing these correctly and properly before trying to teach it. Otherwise, you are just modeling poor practice. You need to adjust your hose routing so it looks neat and professional and routes the correct way. Right now it's a mess and an entanglement hazard. Also you forgot the necklace on your short hose. Your spgs are also a snag hazard - the routing should be flush to the cylinder to be lower profile and not get in the way.

you guys have absolutely ZERO idea of what you are doing. This is not sidemount diving but some horrendous home built modified stage rigging nightmare.

Y'all need to speak the language too. Yes, nice weather, beaches and all that, but what about the culture and the language? Do you all know that we have Historical Nationality in the Canary Islands? Do y'all even care?
@DiveCenterDailyLifeАй бұрын
Of course, we do. Personally I have read many books covering the history of the Canaries and famous people living here or having visited the islands.

What's the signal for a seal/sea lion?
@dennis5130 Жыл бұрын
tbh I didn't know that was difficult, in my case it just happened one day when I was a kid, and I just do it involuntary now. so, I am not sure how I do it, but I think it is kind of swallowing air/saliva, squeezing my throat, and sometimes I use with the back of my tongue using it as stopper for my nose, and everything happens above or around my Adam's apple.

Unofficial statistics say that 10% of people do not need to equalise.

I was taught that the "time out" "T" signal means, "turn time" which is when you turn the drive around to start heading back. It's your 50% air time not including the 500psi safety.

Erm you should definitely wear some quality breathing equipment. Lead fumes are odourless and very dangerous. Don’t do what this guys done !
@dean_murray Жыл бұрын
Breathing protection is never a bad idea but lead does not vapourise until > 1700c basically never going to happen with this setup. He is in well ventilated area so that helps also. Biggest risk is the molten metal before he moved to ground level. As for the lead, handling it gives more exposure than fumes. The dust when it oxidises is the worst. Important to wash hands after of course

When I accidentally gave a diver I was working with "thumbs up" for a job well completed, she understood I wasn't signaling to surface. She later recommended that, to avoid that confusion, we add "jazz hands" to the dive vocabulary. It's better than "OK," it's "great job on the task." I'm sure there's a better signal.
