Lots of new faces in that video, but some old friends too. I played many late nights on that field. I need to get back out there and let them kick me around again... great game.

One of his warriors, Robert Benge, was an ancestor in my family. He was a man who was known for living children. He refused to fight, in respect for his grandpa, a peacemaker. But when that old man (and Robert's grandma, wife and children were murdered on their farm, Robert went "baresark", like Achilles, and fought back. Later, Robert's war party members killed a few children, and Robert rebuked them and was stopping fighting. That was when he was killed by a white militia. My grandpa took me to Benge's grave when I was 8. It was in the most beautiful place I have ever seen. I got the story from a book by Dr. Laurence Fleenor of Big Stone Gap, Va., called " Benge!" I think Cherokee would be fascinated by this book, which contains original research about Chickamaugans, but also Sequoyah!

None of this matters anymore. The government will hinder any DNA which is already in and foot prints mean nothing now and even video means nothing. Government already knows they exist.

I hate it when ppl use this as if it makes the fact natives and black people suffered so significantly more or less. Both atrocities to humanity. My neighbor says black people need to get jobs. I’m like welll they built this county for FREE!? They did forced charity for white peoples wealth for a few hundred years. It was so bad and profitable that even the Indians had em. Even black people had em. That’s how bad it was yes that doesn’t mean they’re full of excuses. They been through enough let them heal before complaining of who has jobs.

It's always great to Learn about the history or life style of these old tribes. When I think about why some animals went extinct, I usually think it was just the European settlers over hunting for fancy furs. I didn't know the Natives were also over hunting to trade. I learn something new every day

Speak in Cherokee with subtitles. I think you need also written the cherokee in romance like pinyin in Mandarin because cherokee Is very difficult to read and easy to pronounce.

You need to make movies and series in Cherokee to create an interest to learn Cherokee or an other native language.

On my mother's side, there is no history -if- of being enslaved as we are African American, but we did NOT start our as African American. We started out as European of Welsh, Finnish, Scandi, and Finnish descent. Somewhere down the line Middle Eastern, MesoAmerican and Nigerian mixed in with these people, which created my familial line. Families really are these huge trees that segment off to specific branches.

If you want to know the True History you Must: 1. Research for yourself, there are so many books out there, waiting to be read, it only enriches you. 2. Go to college. Don’t expect your enemies to teach you the Truth, you will be Highly disappointed. They are only interested in teaching you lies and half truths. Teach your children your history, so they will Know their heritage.

My daughters middle name is Tsula. It means Red Fox in Cherokee. Pronounced Chu-la by some people but we pronounce it Su-la. The T is silent. My hubby is 1/8 Cherokee. Neat heritage for sure.
