Real men can do a feature on millinery! I’m a reinactor and girly-girl, and I enjoyed your coverage immensely. Thank you, and well done!

I love this! You are such a good story teller! Did you ever find out what was upstairs? I would assume in the past it would have been living quarters of the baker or his apprentices? Anyway, love this vlog!

Thank you Angela! No I’m still not sure what’s up there, so still a mystery. (It very well could be a sleeping quarter…or a place to hide Ginger Cakes 😉)So glad you enjoyed this one!🎩

I enjoy visiting KM National Military Park. They have a nice cushioned trail. It's also nice to participate in a local tradition of laying a stone on Ferguson's grave to push him farther into Hell... So they say.

When I was a kid in Delaware, my middle school offered a school trip there for a week. We stayed in a dorm there and spent the week participating in a program where we learned all about the area and went to dinner at a tavern etc. I’m not seeing many young people walking around in your video, do they still offer trips like that for schools at Colonial Williamsburg?

Wow! This was brilliant. I have been to the Millinery shop before. I have taken classes from one of the head mistresses of the shop and I have worn 18th century fashions from the skin out from upper class to working class. Thank you for doing this. Often this part of history is dismissed as unimportant to understanding our history in a broader way. But it is these stories that weave a much more complete tapestry of our past when we included a variety of voices - the milliner, the ironmonger, the enslaved, etc. Thank you. And I loved your gothic styling and poetic approach! This is awesome. I will be sharing.

Great video. If I could go back in time Williamsburg Virginia in colonial times would be the place. Every time that I have visited I have the overwhelming feeling that I am home!

This is a counterpart of “Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar”. Historical homes built in the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries were transported, rebuilt and restored meticulously and sent to the province of Historical “Bataan”. Mostly built during the Spanish and early American colonies. Recently, it was declared by Unesco as heritage homes, overlooking the stunning west Philippine sea. See for yourself if you want to experience and go back in time.

I just found your channel and thoroughly enjoy all that I’ve seen, particularly those about Williamsburg! My first visit was about 65 years ago and have returned about 40 times. Your perception of waking through and feeling the history found matches my impressions as well. For those interested in American history, there’s few locations presenting a better picture of our early beginnings. Thanx for your excellent videos!!

Been there. To sit where Washington sat. To walk the strrets our forefathers walked. We lucked out. The revolutionary reenactment troops were bivouaced there around the green. I was even invited to have lunch with 2 of them. I love history & started asking questions about their reenactment. What a great day.

It’s beautiful Nicer than new towns Odd how quality of life is going worse They must have had mechanical personal transport- all that space and wide streets No way riding animals - too much work just taking care of animals to go anywhere

Gunsmithing , 😊Nice , before England turned on its own - very complex story should I stay or should I go - England and Americans Probably they should have either made a total break and learned German language or stayed and join forces against the Bank of England- especially before French insertion of 1812 I wonder why nobody ever figures that out - who is causing all the problems?

I would love a great study of Gov. William J Hardwoods true reasons for building the Mental Infirmary as the Women were often deamed insane, as the Men raped n slaved African Americans. The Filthy closet of the 5 Harwood brothers were domestic violence was a control society factor.

Good job on research. I love this film and if you go there be sure to start with it. I bought my own copy there. I would not watch the film across the isle as it is too long and may put you to sleep. Not much for kids to do at this site. Jack Lord never was or became better than he was here.🦇

The videography and your beautiful commentary with a great speaking voice and totally natural and affable camera style along with complex writing and researching make this a magical piece. I have a hard time putting this down -Ihonestly think you can take this 😅totally professional package and use it to pitch a much longer documentary for PBS or American experience. Once again this show is so thrilling. I will have to look at it a second time and please give my love to your other half with great love and respect, Jeffrey Hancock Shonert, College of William And Mary class of 1972❤❤❤

This was one of my favorite vacations I ever took with my mother. It really was exactly as you described…my mother would go do her thing and we would run amuck! I remember meeting a boy and a girl my age and literally spending the entire vacation with them. I wish I could remember their names. I can’t even remember if they were siblings or if they just met. We spent our time doing all of the things you spoke about in your video. I remember them saying I had to see something really cool…and they took me to the giant moose! I remember buying moose munch for the first time in that general store. I loved the train. I thought it was really awesome that at the water park you could go into a grotto cave-like area and watch everyone swimming through a giant pain of glass! I remember how cool Main Street was to me…it looked like an outdoor shopping area…indoors! What a blast from the past. So very sad to see it run down and completely different. Thanks so much for this amazing memory unlock.
