Just basic plumbing/ engineering craft techniques not very impressed with the engineering of Tesla battery plumbing though like a lot of other car manufacturers they use brittle plastic where metal would be a better engineers solution you see it on thermostat housings on IC cars clearly the accountants are in charge at Tesla.

Great video. Here is what I would add. My wife's model S driver door handle was stuck open and would not retract or open the door. After going through multiple videos I pulled the door handle assembly out of the door. She has a 2012 and did not know what generation door handles she had. Turns out you can see if the handles have been updated on the secret maintenance screen where you go to calibrate the door handles. 2 of the door handles had been updated to generation 3, one of which was the driver door. So here in AZ it appears Tesla service is just updating them when they fail to generation 3. Since there is not really any parts that fail on the generation 3 handles I ordered and replaced the magnetic sensor for about $100. This did not fix the issue and I had the Tesla mobile service come out. They replaced the "TESLA MODEL S DOOR HANDLE CONTROL UNIT MODULE FRONT" which is another possible failure mode. This module was located on the plastic access cover to the door internals. Cost was $60 for the part and $30 for the labor.

On the short connector with no hex. Fab up a short pipe tapped for the nipple side and use that to tighten it into the the battery.

Hi, Great informative video. I have now replaced harness and micro-switches on my 2016 Gen 2.5 drivers door handle. The switches trigger ok when I checked them with a multi-meter at the connector. Problem is Handle still over presents and locks solid. Any ideas on how I can fix this or what the problem is? Thanks for any help.

Great video! I’m a bit concerned about one part of the repair, though. You mentioned the coolant line won't take more than 1 bar (15 psi), but according to the coolant refill manual, it needs to be pressurized to 5.5 bars (80 psi). I’m not sure if the threaded plastic can handle that much pressure. What’s your take on this? I'd love to hear your thoughts!

An additional concern would be the restriction. It's a small restriction to be sure, but in a very highly engineered system it might be significant under some conditions. Such as max A/C on a hot day, or possibly max heating on a cold day, or extended high speed or acceleration, or any number of extreme scenarios.
